Way overpriced! Get him to look on Pistonheads, there are plenty of deals on there for around the 14-17k area. All from modded UK STI's, JDM ones to WR1's.

Not seeing thngs at all, i saw loads of them in Japan back in 07. Very big out there and IIRC there was a waiting list for them. The one you saw would have been an import as they were never officially launched over here, don't know why not as i think they would have sold like hotcakes. Couple of pics of some i saw -
