I did jack it up while looking at it and couldnt feel any play in the bearing? Its a 1997 2.0 sport awd short mot and no tax and ill probably get it for about £550 so cant be too fussy I suppose. Just be good to have an idea what I have to buy so I can set some aside for the full rally livery again

Hi all I need to pick your brains, I been and looked at a sport today which I quite like and is a very good price BUT it has a problem on the passenger side front, the disc and pad are shot, really badly grooved over half of the face of disc. The car has a horrible grinding sound when driving but mainly when turning (seems fine when straight) I also noticed the inner cv gator is split but still has grease. I dont mind doing work but dont wanna buy a major problem, I think it is a case of new gator, disc, pads which I can handle but anyone else think of anything more worrying???? Thankyou

OOh if all goes well anyone know someone who might want my Golf??? Its a good un and will be cheap

Update Update. I am now a single man so the scoob is definately on the way. Going to look at one tomorrow, but its a sport (how long before I get proper bored and spunk more money on a real one?) I will let you know how I get on, its proper cheap so gotta be careful hopefully its not a complete dog

Hi all, just need to clear something up.. I sold the scooby... In case you think you see me driving like a complete C0CK. I sold her a couple of weeks ago but it has stayed fairly local and I forgot to take my name off the sides OOPs I will probably get another one (I have done twice previously) but for now I have gone sensible and bought a little MK3 Golf GTi and Im doing my bike licence to make up for the lack of speed. I have enjoyed the club and wish all that know me/care, well. Watch this space, you never know.

Im looking at getting a boost controller and am not sure what to go for. As money is tight I have found somewhere that is doing reasonably priced secondhand ones so my choices are: GREDDY Profec A or B HKS EVC EZ HKS EVC 3 APEXI AVCD Which one shall I go for?
