I would say it could be the head gaskets gone mate - I had the same problem just under a year ago [], after I took the car out for a run the coolant would be bubbling away in the expansion tank - these bubbles were hydro carbon gases escaping from the head gasket. Are you losing coolant or is it coming out of the expansion tank after a run? When the heads went on mine I also checked the oil and it was always fine the whole time!!! so be warned checking the oil is not always the best way to check that the heads have gone. Fingers crossed it's not this mate.

Hi all, I'm getting the car remap at the end of the month by the man him self Andy F, I drive a sti v3 import with just the standard induction, thinking about getting a new induction system before the remap to make the best of the changes etc. I've been looking at the APS cold air induction and also the RCM range - also if I went for the RCM not sure what size filter I would need 160mm or 210mm tall?? also what trumpet size 80mm or 100mm any thoughts [^o)]. So what do other people out there with a car of the same sort of age use?? any pic's would also be great [] Thanks in advance all.

yeh also have to agree with what col said potholes, bogs in a mess could do with a real upgrade !!! but then as col says we would have to pay even more.

Hi and welcome to SIDC mate [] One of the best first kind of mods is a de-cat downpipe will release the most power in the exhaust and allow the turbo to spool up quicker as far as I know. After that you can change to a bigger fuel pump, new headers, full decat exhaust, remaps the list is end less just comes down to money [] Only down size is the amount of fuel these beasts drink but they are worth every penny imo
