S'allright, she's sorted now!

Ok she's decided to keep hold and get it rebuilt. Its nearly all done but the garage (Q&S) are having trouble getting hold of some parts. Anyone know if these are available anywhere over here? 1 x Near side Engine Mount 5 bolt holes 1 x Turbo Downpipe Gasket Ta Mark...

Hi John, Thanks for that. Yes we have thought about it. Unfortunately most of them dont seem to have anywhere to store the stuff onsite. Which means bringing all the stuff from home (2 van loads!) setting up, then dismantling at the end. It really wouldnt be worth doing as we'd spend most of the time moving / setting up and not playing! Plus we dont exactly play 'church friendly' music!

Sorry for the off topic post, but I'm desperately trying to find a rehearsal space for my band. All we need is somewhere probably around 20 feet square with electricity, dry and secure... Ideally we'd also like to be able to leave the gear setup, or at least have somewhere close where we could store it. We are more than willing to pay, and are all in our 30's so would not be holding mad parties / wrecking the place etc. And I promised CupraDave a go on my drums!! Someone must know of somewhere, or someone that we could approach? Please reply to this or PM me... Thanks all Back to the Scoobs...

Hi John, Me and the missus will be there, at the Gluey as normal! But its her turn to drink this year as I'll be doing the Paging CupraDave, do you want a lift down mate?
-
Dunno mate. I think that price is unlikely! But give her a call or an email...

Best amatuer Scooby vid I think Ive ever seen dudes... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WTAPpsL2xOU I want a go!
-
Whoa! First I've heard of this. GUTTED for you mate, glad you're ok though... What happened there then?!
-
Not really driven it much as yet, had some steering bits done too and it actually feels a little heavier steering wise... Yes, rose jointed, I think so aye...you know me mate, I wouldnt exactly make a good mechanic! Might pop round sometime over the weekend after the Jurby shenanigans to look at "Project X"!
-
Cor! I had one of them many moons ago. Exactly the same model but in black. Loved it but I was too young and too scared to push it too much back then. Would love a go in one now though! "Thinks"....I wonder what he's up to....? Well done sir!

Nice one mate! Ive just had front and rear drop links done on mine too. I got the very same Whiteline kit that youve got there, but the front ones were different on mine So I had to return it all and get them seperate instead. They're on now though and it feels 'different'. Also just got some nice new Toyo rubber for the fronts too. Not fitted yet, but hopefully tomorrow or Sat morning...
-
Hehe, thats exactly what I thought when I did it a few years ago in mine... Dont think I'd ever driven it that hard until then or since, and the best time I got was only 15. something seconds! I suppose thats what they're made for but Im afraid I have far too much mechanical sympathy...!

XR2????!!!!....err Dude
-
Hehe, Yes I'm sure there will be burgers Graeme, or there better had be! Dave, didnt realise you'd be doing the 1/4 mile. Will be bringing the vid cam up with me so will try and get some footage...what sorta power you running now then? Ive got a mate from work doing the drifting on the Saturday evening too. So looking forward to watching that! See you all there...
-
Hi all Long time no post etc! Hope everyone is well... Anyone going for a look up to Jurby on Saturday / Sunday for the Motorfest then? I'll probably be there most of the day on both days taking in the action
-
Happy Burpday to 'Our Glorious Leader'! Hope you had a good day Dave. Sorry cant make it to the Crosby tonight, so have one for me...
-
Did anyone go up for a skeet then?
-
I was out for a 'tootle' today, and went up the Sartfield road off the course. There was a sign there that said the road ahead would be closed for 'filming' on the 7th, 8th and 9th November And that access could not be gained to Injebreck and Druidale.... So Ive a feeling they're going to be using the Druidale road, and maybe the nice twisty road from Brandywell cottage down to the Injebreck Wish I could get some time off work. Might have to see if I can get any jobs in Ramsey on those days!!!
-
Had to pick something up in Ramsey on Saturday morning and went round the course for a change. In the garage on the left just before Ballaugh bridge, there was nice looking Scoob there... I stopped on the way back and it was almost a twin of mine! 1999 (i think) Type RA WRC 555 Ltd Edition number 332/1000 (mines number 510/1000) Couple of graphics on it, and Im not sure Ive seen it before (manx reg and starts with a T. I have the rest but wont post it) Not even sure if it was for sale, but just wierd seeing a car on the IOM from the same 1000 limited run as mine!
-
Thanks Mad Manx, I got it sorted after much cursing etc... it turns out someone had forced in the wrong type of bayonet bulb the last time. Good old WD got it out though... Got a new (correct fitting) one from DMS and it flew in!
-
Ok Ive got into it without breaking anything! But now I can get the bulb out of the holder... Will it be a bayonet fitting?
-
Ok showing just how useless I am with the car, my drivers side rear indicator bulb has gone. How the hell do I get into it??!! It looks like its from the boot, but I cant figure out how to get the carpetty / cardboardy bit off without breaking it! Can anyone help please?

Wow! Great photies Dave, thanks for that! Any chance you could bung them onto a CD for us please? No rush, just whenever you have time Tar
