  1. Oh no! You'll have to call the car the Spewbaru now!! Andi - wasn't sure if that was you or not dude as I only just noticed at the last second sorry dude! Also someone else in a blue classic gave me a wave at Macdonalds this morning too and I was so preoccupied with the thought of macmuffins that I didn't realise notice who it was so apologies to them - I'm not an ignorant sod, honest!
  2. Happy birthday to the mrs Andi - have a cracking day. I'm off to start meddling with my ecu!
  3. So you have to get a few new posts...
  4. Don't you just hate the way this thread misbehaves when it goes onto a new page!
  5. Am off most of next week so I can start playing around with the maps on my new ECU
  6. Afternoon dudes! Got my new Power FC ECU in now. Just have months of trying to map it without blowing up the car ahead of me now....
  7. Ahh! Sorry mate, would have waved if I'd known that was you! There's a few people I haven't met so am never quite sure which they are. Give us a flash (lights!!!) next time you see me on the road. Yes, it's not the stealthiest of cars the Legacy.
  8. Morning dudes. Who was that on the prom yesterday behind me in a blue blobeye? Got the brakes on but not overly impressed just yet - probably need a chance for the pads to settle on the discs as they will be a different way round to how they were so they'll need to get even wear before they work 100 % I think.
  9. Gorgeous day dudes! Time to fit the new brakes I think!
  10. Excellent stuff Andy! Celebratory bevvies this weekend then eh?
  11. Would be a treat to get a nice day or two matey! At least it's Friday anyway. Should finally be able to get my 4 pots on soon anyway and new ECU should be here in a few days as well.
  12. Morning dudes. Sick of all this rain the last few weeks.
  13. Excellent stuff! You'll be glad you did I'm sure.
  14. Cheers for replying anyway dude! Only reason I said UK specifically is that most dealers won't speak to you about imports and I'm guessing that if I give them an import chassis number they'll likely say they can't help. Might be worth a try in the absence of a UK one though. Might try ringing Howard at HDC and seeing if he has the bits anyway seeing as this approach looks fruitless!
  15. Not sure if anyone can help out here as it's a bit of a strange request! I've bought 4 pot calipers for my Legacy and I have all the bits needed now including discs/pads/hoses etc except for the pins, springs & antirattle clips that keep the pads held in place as the ****head I bought them from has not included them and is insisting that I have all the required parts. I rang barry curran to find out the cost of getting these bits from them and the woman there says she can see a picture of the parts but cannot get more info without a chassis number of a suitable car that the calipers could have come from. Mine is no use as it's an 89 import so what I need to be able to get these bits is the chassis number from a uk car that had the same four pot calipers (dark grey ones with subaru written in pale writing down the side). If anyone can help and 'lend' me their number so she can look these up properly I'd be really grateful!!! Thanks Jim
  16. Andi - it looks the same as it always has done, and always will whilst I own it. Like it might be a rover or something. Til you start it up....
  17. Morning dudes! Hope all goes well Andi Hopefully have the car back on the road tomorrow afternoon at some point with the new goodies working.
  18. Morning dudes! Congratulations Andi - you should be proud of yourself matey. I bet you feel a lot better for it and that's a lot of money to have saved dude! Well done. I am going to make an effort to stop after my mate's dad was diagnosed with throat cancer the other day. I don't want to end up with the same thing even though I only smoke maybe once a week or so.
  19. Here's a link to the How To thread on my forum Andi. FMIC link Has a few pics but not much exciting I'm afraid.
  20. Cheers dude. I managed to get it all hooked together (had to cut one of the alloy pipes though to get it to fit, ), and I got a bit of silicon from Glyn to bodge the dump valve for now. What it needs really is a piece with internal bore 1 inch at one end and 1.5" at the other if your mate is likely to have anything like that? Used 2 of the silicon pieces you gave me the other day so let me know what I owe you for those. Would have been stuffed without them!! Got my rattle gun too so hopefully I can get my pulleys done tonight now too.
  21. Think I'm out for a meal sorry dudes otherwise I would. It's this weekend but I might have days wrong so if I'm free and the car is back in one piece I'll come.
  22. Dave - can you give me the details again of who did your heat shield for you please mate? I think you said it was a guy at Lyte ladders old place unless I'm getting confused with someone else. Any idea what they're called so I can give them a buzz, as I think I'll have to get an alloy washer tank built as the standard one won't fit with the intercooler pipework.
  23. Morning dudes. Knackered today and 8 & a half hours chopping up my car for the intercooler!
  24. Just had to write that post to get this page visible. What a PITA!
  25. What is it with this bloody forum and not being able to see new posts?! Grrr! I think it must be when they go onto a new page or something but I can always see when someone has added a post but not actually read it until more posts are added afterwards.
