  1. Evening dudes! Just received my wideband sensor tonight - ACE! Got a nice wireless broadband network at the Mrs house now too and even better, it doesn't interfere with the video sender. Superb. Cheers Nick!
  2. Bad evening dudes. Some kind w***er drove into my wing leaving a nice dent, up the post office tonight while I was inside for 2 minutes then buggered off before I came out. I won't even be able to get a new wing either.
  3. Sorry to see both Andys go when they do!
  4. New wheels look very nice Pob
  5. Evening dudes! Sorry to hear about your car Richard - hope you catch the b@st@rds! Don't like this new format on here....
  6. Think it was about 45000 yen from Greenline in Japan. Worked out to about £25 including postage and paypal fees etcc which isn't ad as it's the electronic version not the 'choke cable' one.
  7. Well, it should be good if it does what it says on the tin dude. Will have to get someone to weld it into the centre pipe though I presume.
  8. I've got an Apexi DECS ECV coming from japan now so hopefully in a few weeks I'll be able to choose between loud & quiet at the touch of a button or even automatically depending on RPM.
  9. << Afternoon dudes... I think that it is time for my old Legacy to go to the big Scooby scrap-yard heaven , the cluch is going on it ... >> Noooooo!!! You can't scrap her Andi I'd buy her to strip for spares for mine if I had any money but I've just had a £450 repair bill for my boat's gearbox so I have to find that somewhere. Wish I could take her off you mate but am broke.
  10. Very nice Andy - you'll enjoy the sound once it's on! Presume that's a 2.5" system rather than 3" seeing as it's a flange mount rather than slip joint? You probably told me the other day but my mind was on the roast chicken counter I'm afraid!
  11. << I was looking after a friends house, and heard Jim's car. The noise increased for well over 1 minute until I saw him drive past, then I could still hear the noise for another minute. >> << Is there an easy DIY way to check how loud your exhaust is, I am current running it standard and would like to see what the increase is when I fit the decat, centre section and back box. >> You can buy dB meters for about 30 quid Andy. THink they measure 1 metre from tailpipe so induction noise shouldn't matter.
  12. So is it going to be 2wd or 4wd then dude?????
  13. Amazed I've never been pulled for the exhaust on mine as it's straight through 3" from the turbo back and I've not really heard any louder ones, hence why I want to get that apexi thing for it!
  14. Not personally but I know they have pulled quite a few people for it over the last few months. Which is exactly why I'm planning on getting one of these: Apexi cunning device
  15. No idea dude, just when I was up the rally at Jurby just after a Chrimbo a certian scoob oriented bod up there said he already had his new gaff and had a 2wd dyno. Who knows but fingers crossed its a 4wd one so that when I think I have mine close to the mark I can get it checked. Will he have anyone there that's capable of doing mapping etc?
  16. << That is what you call the Isle of man syndrome >> Not everyone is like that matey. My speedboat's gearbox is being rebuilt at the moment and the guy doing it is SUPERB. He keeps phoning me to say how far on he is with the job, what parts it'll need, and explaining every last little bit about it. He started stripping it the day after I gave him it and is just waiting for the parts. It's down to the people rather than the location - if they're decent people they'll get on with the job, but slackasses will use the excuse of being on the island so they can be lazy and it gives the island a bad name.
  17. Cheers Billy. Err, I mean Jimmy
  18. I was told a good few weeks ago that he was already there and had his new dyno thingummybob, but that it was only a 2wd hub one. No idea if that's true of not but I know I for one would rather use some software that costs $40 for as many power runs as I please than paying someone else probably well upwards of 50 quid an hour. I've downloaded the demo version of it so soon as I have my datalogit back I'll put it to the test....
  19. I bet you can't wait for all this to be done & on the car Dave! I've found software (Dataloglab) that can be used with my power FC/datalogit and can give some pretty accurate power curves after logging runs so I will have a good idea where I'm at with tuning and whether each extra part or bit of map tinkering gives an improvement or not. Think this will be incredibly useful especially over here where we have no dyno. Apparently it's pretty accurate too. Think it's about $40 so will be a good investment I reckon when I get it.
  20. << Afternoon dudes! << No Grant, still planning on getting them painted although the gold looks better than I thought it might. >> Nice shade of pink would look good Jim? >> Ha ha. Even if I had an STi engine in I wouldn't tolerate pink wheels dude! << << Is that a silver one? >> No jim, its the blue one with No 1 on the doors Ta Ta Richard >> Ahh - yes - seen that a couple of times although for some reason I could have sworn the blue stickered up one I'd seen was a bugeye or blobeye! Must be losing my sight! Saw your post on my forum Richard - thanks very much for the offer - it's very kind of you & Dave to say that and is appreciated. What I will be doing is speaking to the lads to see what kind of thing they want if they do a visit at the same time. I think they'll mainly want to just stay for the rally days but it'd be nice to combine some of the activities I think.
  21. Is that a silver one? Seen it in douglas a month or so back. Welcome to them anyway!
  22. Ha ha! Afternoon dudes! No Grant, still planning on getting them painted although the gold looks better than I thought it might. Lots of other car stuff to do first though really. Saw you Andi and gave you a wave but it was sort of over my shoulder by the time I realised it was you!
  23. Yes dude. The 225s seem fine but I think I'll swop back to the other wheels before too long so I can remove the tyres from these and start getting them ready to get painted. I say that of course but whether I get my arse into gear to do it soon or not is another thing entirely!
  24. Read on another forum that someone saw a smashed up scoob on the back of a truck yesterday. I hope they're ok whoever it is!
  25. << TOO right Andi likes Jim dude.... >> Andi likes Jim?!! Steady on dude, you know I'm getting wed in a few months matey!
