Not bad you yessir exile!! [] Martin said he saw you recently mate - hope all is well. Been speaking to Daz who has your old Leggy now (you know, the proper scoob!) and he's enjoying it mate! Didn't yours have a mongoose exhaust on it Anders? Apparently it had a bog standard system exhaust on it when he bought it so he's made his own backbox but I'm curious as to what happened to your old system as it was quite nice....

Welcome to the forum John Not heard of anything but I'm sure you'll hear about it here first. How bad is it having a Legacy driver welcoming you to the Impreza Driver's club?! []
-
Somehow I doubt it dude seeing as we don't even get optimax over here. []
-
Dunno about drifting as such dude but yes it's one of those. Need to fit new big ends to it as it's knocking a little and it needs tidying but for £180 who cares! My mate and I have just bought it so we can strip it own and use as a cheap track day toy really. Should be fun once it's had some minor Crettling done to it! []
-
Well it works out about half what you'd pay in the uk so a real steal if they are right. BTW dude - do you want to flog that 2 pod pillar gauge mount thingy you have?
-
Have a great time & happy birthday Richard. Ho ho ho. Now I have an S13.... []
-
By the way Dave - there's a seller in the states doing Eagle forged rods & Wiseco pistons for about 420 quid on Ebay at the moment if you fancied nice new forgies at silly cheap money!

Ha ha! Cheers mate. [] I normally use superglue when I cut myself but this was really deep and I couldn't get the two halves to meet properly so I've just dressed it up and will leave it to its own devices. I'm a terror for sabotaging myself but I've got fairly used to doing DIY repairs over the years now!
-
Glad they got you sorted out - sounds unpleasant! I've not been fully on form for the last week after being poisoned last sunday and having a week so far of mild gastro' [] Then to add injury to illness I nearly sliced through my thumb last night, leaving a large raggedy slice right into it that I suspect will take quite a while to fix properly. Doh!

Have a superb time Andi []

Dudes! Spotted Graeme in Boots at lunchtime after wondering if it was him at first. It was only because of that cool pic that Dave took that I recognised him too. [][]
-
Cheers matey - not sure how many were there but Phil had got a big banner made up with my site's name on it which was a bonus. Which I could get to those things more easily without steampacket ripoffs! My mate Paul's white legacy is looking superb now with the subtle rothmans graphics he has had made. So you're taking the scoob to the ring are you Andi? I hope you're going to post up your lap times for anyone else who might get to go in theirs at some point. []

I would have been pretty cross if that happened to me up there seeing as the car went through the car wash about half an hour before I drove up there!!
-
Change of career dud?! Pray tell..... I'm hoping to be up there in the day on Saturday. I know Michael and the OMA subaru boys are over this weekend but I think they only have the Impreza with them this year as I think the leggy has had some problems. Working tomorrow so won't be able to get up til Saturday.
-
Ha ha - yes it's not quite one of the quieter ones around! You'll have to give us a wave or beep next you see me.
-
Excellent stuff Andi - enjoy it mate [] Bob has finished the paintwork on the car now so it looks loads better at last! Track day tomorrow at Jurby so I might venture up for a look possibly....
-
Cheers Andi mate. Hope you & the family are all well dude. [] Wedding was superb and honeymoon was quite good too but back at work now to deal with the disasters they made for me in my absence! Think I've heard/seen Dave about a few times recently but hard to see from my office window. The car has had a bit of tidying done whilst I was on honeymoon and looks tons better now! [] Still work to be done yet?

Manx Power no longer exists. Someone foolishly began slagging off certain police officers and making allegations about their private lives for some reason, which subsequently led to the forum being shut down as the comments were pretty libellous. Many have migrated to the new forum www.iomcars.net though since.[]

Cheers Graeme [] It'll be on the cards soon enough I suspect......
-
Good work to Nick & all his SID buddies - result!! []

It was superb weather indeed for TT (was off the whole week, mostly working on my boat!) Wasn't bad on Saturday either which was handy for me wedding! [][]
-
Try getting them hot and they should come off easier, either with a hot air gun or very hot water. That's what I've heard from a lot of people before but not actually tried it myself.
-
Cool, thanks for that. I'll do a bit of digging to try and find out if the sti clutch will fit my flywheel. Still need to find out if that flywheel on Ebay will fit or not. To be honest I'm almost tempted to get it anyway for the money and see if it will be ok when the time comes. It's very cheap for a brand new light flywheel so could be worth a punt but I'd rather know beforehand if at all possible.
-
Cheers The flywheel is a little on the light side for me to be honest. There is a brand new 7kg one on Ebay going for about 150 inc postage from the USA that I have my eye on but the problem is that it's for a US spec WRX (still says EJ20) so I've no idea if it will fit my EJ20G motor and work with a regular 225 or 230 mm clutch. It's more the clutches I might be interested in than the flywheel I think dude.
-
Cheers I think my flywheel will only take 225mm but I'll have to investigate further. Any idea of a ballpark figure? It may be that I'll be getting a lightened flywheel that would take a 230mm unit so depending if I do that & how the pennies are I might still be interested.
