Wahey! Congrats fella! It's been over a year now since I got wed and it's all good. Apart from the nagging/complaining/criticising etc All the best to you both mate.
-
All subtle but nice mods mate. []
-
I'd really love to get R5 MAN for my RS but I don't think the owner will get rid for what I could afford!![]
-
I thought it'd make a nice workbench to rebuild the leggy motor on but I won't be able to afford the bits for a long time now so I won't get the chance to test that theory! []
-
Quiet on here dudes! Did recognise you the other day Graeme in Peel. Wasn't sure after the shock of unintentionally spending a grand on a table a few minutes beforehand! [] Look at the Haynes manual my mate gave me the other day to help with my newest project too: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Haynes-Baby-Manual...s/dp/1844250598

Wouldn't mind coming up to watch dude but it's our first wedding anniversary on Sunday so she might not be too pleased..... []
-
If you ended up doing test perhaps someone might have a spare set of wheels with good tyres they could lend you for the test if you're not sure it's ok?
-
Evening dudes! [] Happy birthday Dave K (wherever the elusive beggar has got to!) - hope you have a good one mate. []
-
Pretty sure that the old wheels won't clear them as I'm sure you need 17s and they have to be a certain fit. Real shame they don't fit as your wheel refurb looks great and the calipers look mint.
-
Vpower is shell I think dude, and Richard's is Total. I wish Total would start getting decent octane fuel.
-
I wouldn't spend the money on the likes of an HKS one unless you have money to burn as whilst they obviously are good, you pay a lot for the name! I bought a Hybrid one on Ebay quite some time ago and it has been superb and a fraction of the price. There are tons of people happy with them. Just got a nice Apexi ball bearing turbo too ready for the legacy rebuild..... []
-
Well even if that had been the case it's no reason why they wouldn't be able to easily remove it again either by hand or with an impact gun. Still no excuse I'd have thought and I can understand why you're so annoyed! Glad I don't have to go to these places.
-
That's absolutely staggering! Even if it's in a bad state for whatever reason it still would not even take ten minutes to remove one of those (and I've had to do some nuisance ones in my time). The person doing that job must be incompetent to take so long and I would be speaking to trading standards if they had given me that excuse. How they can justify the amounts they charge when they can't do such a simple job (allegedly!) is beyond me. Another reason why I hate garages and don't trust them at all. Plus recently I had to take my mum's 206 to a certain european car dealer to get the boot lock fixed. The night before I took it down, I tested the lock solenoid with power directly and it worked fine, but no power was coming through the wires to it so I told them the solenoid was fine and it was probably a fuse etc as no power was getting through to it (didn't have time to look for the fuses & relays). When I picked it up they had replaced the solenoid saying that was all that was wrong with it, and when I asked for the old one back it strangely wasn't available.... Dubious! Don't think I could prove anything though unfortunately. I wish in hindsight that I had discretely marked the parts beforehand.[^o)]

What's happened to the strut? Is it leaking or is it bent or something? A bit poor I agree but perhaps some aftermarket ones might be more reliable maybe?
-
Hope it's nothing too serious/expensive! Damn right it's cold! We've had no heating all week as all our plumbing/boiler etc is being replaced at the moment and it was -4 the other night. Brrrrr!
-
Hello - you've probably spotted me around too I expect. Well, on the forums at least - haven't driven the scoob for ages!
-
Very welcome to use them any time you want matey. I just don't actually have any cutting tools for either yet as I'm too skint after buying them and being away this weekend. Hopefully getting a few bits donated and able to get more later in the month. Nissan is down to bare block, need to get crank & block to motivation, then heads up there some point too for valve seats to be done. Too skint for about 3 weeks though to do anything as I now have about £50 til payday![:$][:'(]
-
Damn that block looks nice, as does the porting etc. [] Got my shiny new lathe & milling machine today dude, and the anodising stuff should be here soon too []
-
Yoinks! Can't believe that someone would miss out sticking the clip in! That's very worrying. []
-
Ha ha! You're probably right but then seeing as I bought and paid for mine myself then so can she if she wants one. Until then she can drive the biggest and slowest of my turbos - the Discovery! []
-
I know the feeling well!! The legacy does about 20mpg tops with the current ECU maps at best, and about half that with the right foot getting heavy! Problem is my discovery does about the same mileage too so it's a no win situation. Trying to get the mrs to get her provisional so I can teach her for a while then she can get a wee shopping trolley that will do zillions of miles to the gallon. [] Either that or when I've rebuilt the S13 motor it'll do better miles with no interior, a rebuilt motor and only a 1.8 turbo engine instead of the 2.0turbo and 2.5turbo! At least the boat is normally aspirated. So far... []
-
Ha ha! Sounds like fun dude. Got the S13 engine out now anyway - wasn't a bad job at all so I've got tons of cleaning/inspecting/painting(and probably buying) now.....
-
Engine out on the S13 tomorrow dudes! Garage is fully equipped and the forecast is good for the weekend so wish me luck. Of course if anyone fancies joining in they'd be most welcome too.... []
-
Blimmin heck mate! What are you going to do with the Legacy though?!! [:|]

Suspect the easiest way is to post the photo up on photobucket if you have an account (dead easy to sign up if not), then just post the link to it on here with tags. Hope that helps []
