the other thing to remember is......how we spend on repairing of broken or faulty parts. the only things gone wrong with mine in 4 years.. clutch, crank seal /bearing, rocker gasket, brake line, rear bearing, broken wire loom to the boot lid..which took me an hour to re-wire ect.....that's it!!!...the rest of the money is just improving the car... bit of a bug once you get started!... ain't finished yet either ...as for a few others too i'd imagine! this is actualy the cheapest car i've had servicing and repair wise.... apart from very reliable vw passat..i've had 3 beemers, and fords... once you got one ..you'll love it... just don't buy the first one you see!...have a look, plenty of help on here for advice on scoobs and what to look out for. mark

strooth....... aprox..£2600 on fuel £200 tax (ish) £75 mot....(£35 for the chap to take his wife for a meal .. cough cough ) spent £5000 in mods.....not including the bits i've not liked or broke!)... i've had 3 sets of suspension! insurance is £360 and a few other bits since november 06

taking her steady for a bit untill i eventualy get headers done and re-map...but noticed it during a sharp shower earlier.. temp droped and she was back to life......and handy coz i needed to test my whiteline instalation;)

scum... get one of those gadgets from south africa..... they come near your car and gas jets underneath ignite and take their face off[]....spose thats illegal isn't it?[:^)] i've had cameras at my old house..good to watch it non stop, or catch them if your lucky afterwards, but the damage is done, and when you do spot them as they go to have a go and your quick enough to get out.... you'll either get a mouthful, get more hassle coz they know it winds you up...or if they accidently swallow your fist they'll cry and you'll get arrested and sent to kenya for two weeks, who knows what reaction you give them ..may work but.... if there old enough for a slap then so be it, would be nice to find out where they live wouldn't it!?... see how they like revenge

yep even if you see the same drivers day in day out...you get a wave.... or ..if no wave you get a flash when they/you turn off...just when you thought they were ignorant eh!!....i don't get many off new age but i keep trying, it's about time they come out of their shell and join in the fun and don't get embarrassed!!!....i get a nod off evo drivers too!!...you'll find the ones who don't ...are not enthusiasts..just like driving a fun car and do the shopping kind of people., try waving at corsa, clio, saxo drivers....great fun.. mark

Hi! matey, welcome to the club.. looks like a nice car[Y]...the PPP is 'prodrive performance pack'.. means it's got a bit more grunt than standard as it has been remapped with uprated rated fuel pump,air filter, exhaust, ect... great bit of kit, should put another 60 bhp on i think.. or be corrected []....these will go forever if you service regular and be sensible, mine had 143,000 on it before i decided to spend money on her and got a low miler engine put in so i could go further[]..i service every 6k or 6 months... as for cambelt it should say in service book, some say every 30k or 45k..or 2 years,.. peace of mind would get it done if it hasn't lately. not a huge job £200 should get it done and enough to fill up, MPG!...i never bother with mine as you may find out there is a small facture that will overide this.... anyway i'll get 24-26 down the lanes everyday to work, and 18 psi boost most of it[]...but don't expect good results like 35.. you'll be lucky me thinks. but driving off boost to school and back it'll be fine, you may find with the running cost it won't be much diferent to other cars.... imho..... my old 5 series bmw was dearer...they are very solid, this is the most solid and realable car i've had that includes 3 bmw's and a vw passat. insurance you can try gary moulson at keith michaels,, ask for gary[]...and where you heard it from...i can or someone will put his number up[Y] you will enjoy, and drive it like it should...bet you[] mark

yep stu's right, as the older headlights are rounder ands ever so slightley smaller in overall size. you may find you can't fit grill untill you do lights, can't do one without the other it seems!!... headlights bolt straight in, bonett straight swap but..... your intercooler is different, so the diverter is at a different angle, take it off. but valuable air may miss the cooler, go front mount like me[Y][].... and you may need a couple of plastic ties to make sure the grill don't slip out, you'll see when you do it.... mark
