personally I turn the key and drive off.. just then stay off boost until oil temp normal... sitting idling it takes longer to warm up and therefore stays in max wear mod for longest.. one scoob engine has done 198,000miles and still runs (well it would but I replaced it for bigger cc so it is currently in the workshop ) so I don't think there is a need to annoy the neighbours letting it idle.. just do a few throttle blips when you get home late instead
