  1. porting makes a tiny difference.. the best way is obviously to increase boost via remap seeing very good results using the esl boards on relatively standard cars.. but suspect more than you want to spend jusy beware that if you change too much you risk it running lean and/or detting without having it set up for the mods Simon
  2. yes everyone I have fitted and mapped I have been very happy with and customer too
  3. change your mind about letting people know the numbers
  4. 420bhp/420lb and more to come.. walbro pump had enough.. bosch 044 and swirl pot going on along with a simtek when I get time to fit it all Simon
  5. of course I do Also know of a secondhand motec.. but might be using it myself
  6. how long before the WRX has a 2.5 and a simtek?
  7. yes.. getting silly doing upto 800miles a week in the wagon.. running about 450bhp and very reliable but I am slowly stripping unneeded items from it etc.. just bought a 93wrx.. will remap it but keep it fairly standard to travel in.. tried a "normal" car and was concerned about falling asleep at the wheel boring! Simon
  8. I have just bought a spare car
  9. I should be there and be out on track if someone doesn't make it maybe worth passengering in your old car so I can check it where it is used Simon
  10. hence the throttle blips when you come home late
  11. personally I turn the key and drive off.. just then stay off boost until oil temp normal... sitting idling it takes longer to warm up and therefore stays in max wear mod for longest.. one scoob engine has done 198,000miles and still runs (well it would but I replaced it for bigger cc so it is currently in the workshop ) so I don't think there is a need to annoy the neighbours letting it idle.. just do a few throttle blips when you get home late instead
  12. i love working for myself but as pointed out that sounds like it might fall into high tax..
  13. that to me? page 95.. probably get advertising police on my back understandably if I posted the actual ad Simon
  14. yeah just past cardiff.. think I have done 800miles this week Yeah must be a twin.. oh that explains the non-wave etc.. I just assumed I hadn't noticed as we travelling in the same direction.. I beeped as I went past etc.. Simon
