I've got AP 6pots on mine and they are well worth the cash IMO - its night and day from the std brakes! I got mine through Ian Godney and got a really good deal. Best have a chat with him, he's a top bloke and he might have some deals on. Ross

I too picked mine up yesterday - Project Gotham Racing 3 - AWESOME!

Could be Ally off here? (2559B)

Try new HT leads mate, fixed mine when new plugs didn't.
-
When I had a misfire on mine, it was only "foot to the floor" when it would happen, normal driving it was fine. Fitted new plugs and it improved a bit, then I fitted new HT leads and this solved it. The MY99 onwards cars have the leads running pretty much right over the exhaust rather than the separate coil packs on the earlier cars, and as such the leads are more prone to breaking down. Hope you get it sorted out.

I've had mine serviced twice by Halleys aswell, in fact mine is just back from there tonight after getting new cambelt fitted, and its running better than ever. If you are phoning ask for James on the service desk, he's a top guy.

Looks very tidy, I'd love to have the cash for one of those! I love the AP Racing 6pots too, what size of dics are thoses? 355mm? How much of an improvement are they over the standard brakes on the WR1?

<< Are the wheels on the EVO not a Khan Design wheel?? >> Yeah they are the new-style Kahn ones I think. Looks very good.

I stay in Glasgow but work in Motherwell, and I've been having to take my RB5 to work recently.

This is definitely only for new age? My mate is looking for a Bailey dumpvalve for '99 STi RA 5.

Pleased to hear you're sorted out Gordon. Spotted you a few weeks ago and gave you a wave as I was coming off the bypass in Dumfries heading towards Matalan. Car's looking well! Also saw you at the wee kids nursery/Nisashop in Calside aswell a few weeks back I think. I was in Dumfries visting my family and my parents stay just along the road from there. All the best, Ross

Some are GPS-based like RAC Trackstar, some like Tracker have fixed land-based nodes across the country so these are better if your car gets put into a container, for example, when a GPS-based system will become pretty much useless! Got mine fitted in January this year, went to Drivers in Glasgow (ask for Bill), very good service took close to a full day to fit, some take only half a day I believe. Yeah don't think you'll find one cheaper than about 300quid. Like others have said, just gives you a bit more piece of mind, but I actually got mine fitted to satisfy my insurance company and reduce the premium (a bit!!). All the best Ross

Just wondering if anything ever came of the SIDC meet which was meant to be happening at Halleys?
-
Looks tidy, my m8 has leather in his Impreza, really finishes it off.

By the sounds of things this is very similar to the symptoms my MY99 RB5 was having recently. Unfortunately I got new HT leads, new MAF and new lambda all at once - which cured the problem - but I'm not sure which was at fault originally, maybe a bit of a combination. Before this I changed the plugs, which helped a bit, but it still had a bit of a misfire, so I'd suggest that the HT leads are at fault, change them first and see how you get on. Ross

Yip, saw it last night too, absolutely brilliant! I actually think it could be my favourite of all six films, effects were unbelievable.
