  11. I got the equal length headers from Powerstation I believe, with integrated uppipe so bu**ered if i want to change the uppipe. I lost a bit of top end power but gained a load of midrange torque and also lost the low scooby burble. and due to lack of heat wrap managed to melt a few bits of plastic underneath, they have been cut out now so no problem Only problem was they had slip joint and eventually started to rattle, so out came the welder and no more slip joint I was also advised to steer clear of any cheap headers with a flexi joint as they tend to blow the flexi joint.....
  12. so its no longer for sale ??? Ordered some oil and filter today, so going to change that first as its the cheapest option... looking at the oil its very black and thin, gonna change friday night and take a trip out will know about then ...

  16. Keith Michaels rocks.. got good part payments deals, ie if you pay it over 4 months then no interest etc etc They insure both my cars for under 800 quid the pair ( the other cars a 1992 escort convertible runaround ) My Scooby is £580 with all mods below and full no claims, no points (seriously) no accidents in last 5 years on my 1998 classic... oh and I'm 34
  17. After noticing the old scooby was smoking on high revs with high boost acceleration, I purchased an oil catch tank and fitted as required.... I start the car and there is a big puff of white smoke, I have since found this is due to the oil in the intertercooler pipework, but the engine sounds fine. now it hasnt cured the problem, and its got worse.. I have oil all over the inside of my front mount, all over the engine bay especially around the dump valve. In addition my engine check light is flashing on high rpm si I assume my apexi is warning of misfire as a result of oil ?? I took the intercooler pipework apart today and literally tipped oil out of it, now the question of where and how its getting there ?????? (bear in mind oil catch tank has disconnected the oil breather return to the inlet pipe and this is blanked) 1. turbo knackered and spewing oil into intake ? 2. Evac canister, seems to be a breathing device, can this throw oil into the intake ? safe to remove without remap ? 3. worse case- piston rings.... ? 4. Oil change required ( I have read about this curing the issue) and it is due... I am curious of your experiences before I rip the engine out and rebuild it ... so any ideas ??
  18. i would hazard a guess at 330-340 bhp and 340 ft/lb torque, but need a rolling road day to come up to confirm
