  1. A home made of the Richard Burns memorial rally at Kaimes earlier this year. http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e21/scoo...=Kaimes2006.flv Some more of Alford to follow.
  2. Well if the guy wanted to get people talking about his car it seems to be working!! No - just plain wrong..........
  3. I'll keep an eye out for you lot on the way through Glasgow tomorrow.........hope you get a good turnout, I'll be on my way back to work or I would be there.
  4. A full Hayward and Scott stainless exhaust, free flow filter and a remap all to be done in the New Year.
  5. Cheers for the info. I just wanted to make sure before changing any parts.
  6. I want to replace my standard exhaust with a fully or partially de-catted one, add a free flow air filter and get it re-mapped. When removing the cats from the exhaust system (up pipe, downpipe and centre section on an 05 WRX - I think - correct me if I am wrong) I assume this would not pass an emission test on an MOT. Is this correct? Do you have to put original parts back on for the MOT and if so how does that effect the remapped engine?
  7. Just got back for Knockhill. It was my first time up there and had a magic time even with the weather and a white van man nearly driving into the side of me on the way back!! (partly my fault )
  8. Just got back from work to find I won the GC lock in the October True Grip magazine. Going to fit it now and see what all the fuss is about......... I will see if it makes any difference on the way up to Knockhill tomorrow.
  9. Some of my car, I have some Scott Lowe mudflaps going on tomorrow.............
  10. Post back the name and contact number of your buisness when you get up and started. I could be doing with a couple of new plates.
  11. A wee clip from Kaimes back in May..... http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e21/scoo...=Kaimes2006.flv
  12. I will be out and about this weekend so I will keep an eye out for you. What car do you drive??
  13. Just fitted my new Scott Lowe spoiler. Looks good if I say so myself..... I have a set of Scott Lowe WRX mudflaps ready to fit as soon as I can be ar$*d taking the wheels off. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e21/scoo...owespoiler1.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e21/scoo...oweSpoiler2.jpg
  14. Nice clean car there mate.
  15. How nice is that?? I want one.
  16. Cheers for all the advice. The "stage one" option was me just being lazy, but the ideas above seem quite straightforward. Watch this space.......
  17. The time has come to go for more power on my 05 WRX. I am after a complete package such as Scooby clinic stage 1(http://www.scoobyclinic.com/frameset.htm) or Greenwood racing developments stage 1 (http://domain1046568.sites.fasthosts.com/t...ks_wrx_stg1.asp) but would rather get it done in Scotland somewhere. I work on the South coast at the moment so would just drop into one of these places on the way back home. The only problem being they are miles away if anything goes wrong. Opinions welcome, if anybody has recomendations........
  18. Do you commute via a car ? A couple of times a month Do you take your Scooby ? yes How many miles do you commute to work ? 450+ miles one way ( I work in Portsmouth) How long does it take you ? Not as long as it used to! Do you ever take a long way home ? No - would you??
  19. Very nice, I have one as well, just finishes off the front end.
  20. They took mine, the trade in price wasn't brilliant but not a lot less than anywhere else I tried. I must admit it was really easy and straight forward. I arranged all mine over the phone so was expecting the worst when I turned up on the day, but everything went smoothly.
  21. Motorpoint fitted a CAT 1 alarm (Sigma) for me prior to me collecting the car, I have just checked my paperwork and it seems that I didn't pay any extra for it (I definately didn't haggle to get it fitted). Maybe worth checking with them.
  22. I bought the car in August 05 so I think I just scrape in for the 3 year warranty.............worth checking though
  23. Cheers for that. Next time I'm in I'll make sure it has been registered with the network. I was told about the two year warranty about a year ago so will check that out too.
  24. No worries. To be honest I would probaby use them again (an sti possibly!!). I don't know if anyone else has had any horror stories with them though
  25. I got my WRX from motorpoint about a year ago. I have been taking it to a subaru dealership from then for services. When I asked them about warranty etc they said that as it is not a UK car it will only come with two years manufactures warranty instead of threeyears that you get on a UK car. Touch wood I haven't had any warranty issues yet, so don't know how hard it would be to recover costs through warranty work. Also the service book took some chasing up on my part as the car was supplied without one. After a couple of visits to the showroom it turned up in the post a couple of weeks later. One other thing, my car came from Malta so the service periods are not in line with UK service intervals, this hasn't been a problem as the Subaru dealership I have been using has just ammended the booklet to reflect the UK service periods.
