  4. I can't remember the exact procedure for the reset but you need to join the plugs under the steering column, if you do a search you will find a thread with the procedure. "Only fitted a boost gauge, not a electric one....." What I meant was if you dont have a signal feed or 12v supply to your boost solenoid it will remain open thus allowing pressure to be vented to the wastegate. When the solenoid is open you will only get 6-7psi as this is what is required to overcome the spring. Given you dont have a check engine light and you changed the solenoid would seem the likely culprit.
  5. Steve, by your comment "not everyone is able to go for drives etc... because of kids or other halves etc..." the runs to Forbidden Corner and White Scar Caves were suitable for families, I would have got earache of the other half otherwise who's not keen on going "to fast". Not doubt some would have wanted to go quicker. By having the monthly meet in addition to other events I think they will be less likely to happen, turnout for some of the previous events has not been particularly high, FC, WSC for example. As for shows there always Scooby Shoot Out, 10 of the best and not forgetting the NBO of course. Andy
  6. Do'h, completly forgot I had the same problem as this when I fitted a Hybrid boost controller which comes with a new boost solenoid. After fitting I took the car out and only got 6-7psi of boost. If the solenoid is not working it will remain open therefore the pressure generated goes straight to the wastegate the pressure required to overcome the spring on the wastegate is 6-7psi. When I checked my connections the wire to the ecu had not cut through the insulation so no signal to the solenoid. As you have a new solenoid I would suggest you check you have both power and signal. Andy
  7. If the boost is running as low as 6-7psi this might suggest the ECU is running in safe mode is your check engine light on?Probably worth doing an ECU reset, given the fact that you ran 10psi when you swichted solenoids probably means you dont have a mechanical fault. I sure I have read previously of people having problems with the tension on waste gate spring, but as you got 10psi with the new solenoid an electrical/ecu issue seems more likely. Andy
  8. I think the Riverside should more of a fallback when nothing else is planned and do more runs out, the roads when we went to the White Scar Caves were great. I not suggesting a return visit but just a run out to a pub. I definately fancy another track day at Oultan, and also the touring cars. It would be nice to actually get a karting event there have been 3 planned that unfotunately have not happened. Andy
  9. Lee, how come you've put your power sucking cat back in??
