  1. << cads club you should see a box in the top right "join this group". or if you have already joined the cads group...then use the "sign in" at the top in the middle ..........i think...lol >> Now I'm getting somewhere I have now requested membership of the group, but need to be accepted by group owner, Chris before I can get access Andy
  2. << << i think that you now need to register to the CADSclub yahoo site.???????? >> I went in the "groups" to add a group and did a search on CADS, which found 32 matches, none of which appeared to be right. Any ideas? Andy.
  3. I've registered got a user name and password, but all I get is an error message "group-check" ??? Andy.
  4. << Picking up Andy's comment re not knowing have you set your profile so you're emailed when anything is posted in the CADS section M8. Just don't subscribe to a thread as well as you'll get 2 emails >> Well no I haven't but I do look in the CADS section most days even if I don't post. But in the case of the NBO it would have made no difference, because there was nothing in the thread to say there would be a CADS stand or any meeting points etc etc. My point was that a CADS presense was made at the NBO but only a few CADS new about it. Sorry to go on, just wanted to clarify my point. Andy.
  5. << it's all about the scoobs to me and a chance to talk to and meet other people who don't mind you waffling on about your car...guess I'm simple mided that way!! lol >> Couldn't agree more Only 139 posts to go to get rid of this damm newbie title. Andy.
  6. I know this is going back a few posts but I've been away for the weekend: << << just out of curiosity...how many Cads members are members of the Sidc....it should be all of em in my opinion >> To my mind Rob that statement implies that you want non SIDC members to be excluded from CADS. This may not have been the sentiment behind the comment but to be honest thats how I read it also. It not allways easy to understand someones point of view in text . My wife thought my previous post was out of order, however that was not my intention, I was just trying to give an opinion. The NBO wasn't well attended by CADS either although our last minute stand was up with the best its a pity we didn't know about the competition for best club stand and a couple of us left before the judging and partly dismantled the stand...........there is always next year by which time I'm hopeful we will be better prepared. There may have been better CADS attandence at the NBO if it had been communicated better. I know there was a thread but there was little posting on it in the run up to the event. No mention of who was going or meeting points (I realise the people don't like to be routes on the forum but there allways PM's or email). I put a post on the day before asking if people were still going and from where, with little response other than Rasher's, unforunately I saw this too late. I appretiate that my post could have been missed as it was the day before the event. My point is that I should not have needed to ask. Obviously discussion took place as there was a CADS stand(which I didn't know about until I arrived) but there was no communication, more CADS, SIDC or not may have turned up if they had been told. Treasure hunt thing sounds OK wouldn't mind giving that a go. Did anything get discussed today? Apologies for the font, could not get it right, adding text between quotes, all got a bit messy. Andy
  7. << Surely we should be using CADS to gain new SIDC members not excluding non SIDC from the outset >> You have gained 1 tonight, just paid my membership. Also I would not object to paying a few more quid for CADS. As for stickers can't we have a SIDC one and a CADS one? Andy
  8. << I wouldn't wish to be to prescriptive tho' as I am keen to keep it family orientated. >> I would be inclined to agree, I spend enough time in meetings during the week without doing it during was is supposed to be a lesiure activity. Making it more formal ditracts from what is a social gathering and would seem somewhat anoraky, but depends what you have in mind. I would be all for more runs out karting and the like, this would be great. However making it SIDC memebers only is not the way to attract more people to the meets and is more likely to put people off. I can understand only having SIDC members on the CADS stand at the NBO for example, but for everthing seems a bit much, unfriendly and unsocialble. As Bob points out he could not generate enoungh interest in the karting event including non members willing to attend (me). If you can't get enough numbers at the moment then what chance have you got if its SIDC members only? Just my opinion, if I'm intitled to one being a non member. Andy.
  9. I know I don't post that much, but how many posts do I have to do to loose the "newbie" title? Thought I lost it once but now seem to have it back D'oh. Andy
  10. Can't make this one I'm away for the weekend. Andy
  11. What the hell bad back or not I'm going anyway (might regret it tomorrow). Bob, Warby, Rasher you 3 still going? I have not seen anything mentioned about meeting points or routes does this mean you are meeting up the the Scoobynet lot at Burtonwood/Charnock, or do you have other plans? Andy.
  12. I been away for a week and thought there would have been more interest in this thread. I was intending to go but I been in agony with my back the last few days so can't see me making it. Andy.
  13. Count me in for this one, I didn't manage to get to last year's Bob are you intending to use the route you planned for last year? What sort of "pace" is usual on these convoys family friendly or should I come on my own? Andy.
  14. "He better the drinks are on him!:" No chance of Julian showing now you have said that!!!!
