  1. << Andy do you want the Saturday as there is a place available?? >> Nige, have sent you PM Andy.
  2. << Andy there is one Saturday space available if you want, but let me know asap as there are others interested >> Nige, Sunday would be preferable but if thats not an option I would come on the Saturday. There must be a number of people that asked you before I so give them 1st shout, if they change their mind let me know. Cheers Andy
  3. << Colin there is a vacancy for the Saturday if you want it, not sure about the Sunday yet mate >> Nige, that wouldn't be the potential space you promised me at the last meet would it? Andy
  4. WWWHHHOOOOOOOOO I've lost the newbie title at last Andy
  5. << Had me confused ! >> But thats not too difficult
  6. Don't if its the same but this has happened to me a couple of times, I written a post, pressed the reply button but the post doesn't appear, but my name appears on the forum page as being the last poster. For some reason this only seems to happen if I post from my office PC???????? Andy
  7. << << Who do you mean by CADS???????? people at the meet, or paid up members?????????? >> Julian, I was including everyone not just paid up members. Andy
  8. Julian, since I am aware who you had the conversation with, I think things have been some what misconstrued. However I would categorically state that none of the CADS made any derogatory remarks about you on Sunday. Andy
  9. << Andy i guess you know what Polytetrafluoroethane is then >> PTFE, funnily enough I worked on the plant that produces the raw material from which it is made. Andy
  10. << << But not as hot as I was on Saturday night, went to a fancy dress, as "the only gay in the village" in red PVC shorts, top and calf length black leather boots! But I'm not circulating the photo's of that event! >> Post 'em!!!!!! >> Excuses for not posting: 1) Unfortunatly Bob, there on my computer at work at the moment 2) And I dont know how to post pics 3) And its far too late at night 4) and there is a Y in Thursday I'm sure I can think of many more excuses if I tried but I could be persuaded Andy
  11. [q go Andy the engerneer!!!!!!! >> Thats an "engerneer" with First Class Honours, I graduated on Monday, it was flippin hot with that cap and gown on! But not as hot as I was on Saturday night, went to a fancy dress, as "the only gay in the village" in red PVC shorts, top and calf length black leather boots! But I'm not circulating the photo's of that event! Andy.
  12. << Exactly Andy still unlikely to get a leak or is leek? Suppose it depends if you are welsh! >> Now I could get really sad here and start discussing the F gas legislation regarding fugative gas emissions, but thats far too sad! We go to great lengths to try and prevent loss off refrigerents from our fridge systems to ensure compliance. 134a or Tetrafluoroethane to give its non trade name, will actually permeate through some materials without having a physical leak. Andy
  13. << << The four main components of a system are; compressor, condenser, let down valve and evaporator. >> Thermostat??? >> I did say "main" components, a stat after all is only a measuring device forming part of the control circuit. Anyway didn't want to go into to much detail before I get called a sado. Andy
  14. << << Thats not strictly true I had mine regassed twice but have not had a fault. If the system is not used for a while you tend to loose some of the gas via the seals, 134a is particularily searching in this respect. >> Actually what is more likely to fail is either the pump or condenser unit. Basically they are fridges ask yourself how may times you have had your fridge or freezer re gassed! >> Since were getting technical, a fridge unit uses a compressor not a pump A semi or full hermetically sealed unit. Although fridge systems are known also known as heat pumps they don't actually use pumps. The four main components of a system are; compressor, condenser, let down valve and evaporator. Andy
  15. << You shouldn't need a regas unless there's a leak then that needs sorting first. >> Thats not strictly true I had mine regassed twice but have not had a fault. If the system is not used for a while you tend to loose some of the gas via the seals, 134a is particularily searching in this respect. Andy
  16. Welcome Andy, the next CADS meet is on the 17th of this month at the Stamford Arms, just down the road towards Lymm from the Altrincham M56 junction. Also there is a Scoobynet meet this Thursday (7.30pm) at the Micklehead Green Pub which is on the St Helens link road from the M62. See you soon Andy.
  17. << Sorry Andy i didnt hear u mate. Can u say that again. >> I SAID I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET MY POST COUNT UP
  18. << Ture Grip. Members mag >> I knew that really, just trying to get my post count up honest!
  19. << << TG >> TG??? whats that then Andy >> True Grip by any chance
  20. << TG >> TG??? whats that then Andy
  21. << << Why >> Off on Hols the following saturday early so won't have time to clean it between then and the meet! >> Its only going to get dirty in Ireland anyway, last time mine went to Ireland came back plastered in mud. Andy
  22. << Why >> I thought the S in CADS was for SUBARU, not Nissan's, unless Bob's planning a splinter group entitled CADN
  23. << May be in the GT >> Sacrilege! particularily when this will be the re-launch of the CADS, even worse when its the regional organiser Andy
