  14. Yup dump valve arrived perfectly. Thanks again. When i took the car out for a run to test i have to say i did miss the good old whoosh. I'm planning on a FMIC and Apexi next year so i`ll wait until then and get a decent dump valve and get it all properly tuned. Ian
  15. Huge thanks goes out to Des who was very kind enough to supply me free of charge with Re-Circ dump valve. Just strengthens what this community is all about! Also i've now confirmed what i thought. I was running a Baileys Single Piston Dump Valve DV26 and was finding that coming off the throttle after creating boost the car was subject to violent deceleration as all boost was vented out. Also high speed driving 70-80mph was akward as it was liking driving on a knife-edge when just slightly coming off throttle the dump valve would half open which created a whistling noise and boost was being lost making the ride jerky. I can only pressume that a dump valve with either a harder spring or adjustable spring would be better. Also noticed alot of fuel being put into oil after only say 3000 miles. Me thinks i can live without the the "grannyscaring" whoosh until i get other aspects sorted before i dabble in VTA again. Ian

  17. Afternoon guys, i`m making it my mission to get all the little problems sorted on my Scooby while i`m not very well. Today its the alarm, car was fitted with a Toad Ai606 when i bought it so its just over a year old and the bloomin thing is playing up. The car immobiliser works fine and all the right lights and sirens work but it the door locks they just dont work! I only have them in the front doors and neither are arming or disarming forcing me to the use the key!! how retro!! Just wondering if anyone could recommend someone that would take a look at it for me, i`m in the borders but obviously most guys are gonna be the edinburgh area so dont mind travelling. Cheers Ian P.S Anyone got a classic light cover for the interior light, broke mine putting in a new bulb
  18. Happy Birthday Sharon!
  19. Hey Grant, Its a V3 (97-98) How may one get ahold of said fellow Cheers Ian
  20. Hey guys just wondering if anyone had a standard re-circ dump valve for a classic lying around? Garage put on a Baileys External BOV on after the rebuild but needing a std one to try out some bits and pieces on. Cheers Ian
  21. Hi guys, apologees for posting tech info here but i`m dying for a swift response. Its this bloody MAF meter, took it to the garage and Mechanic said yup its buggered and said £170 from Nobles for a Mass Meter. Only problem is Nobles are relocating and i wouldnt get the parts till Tuesday next week. Unfortunately i use the car to get to work so i`m deseperate to get it back. So i phoned Glenburgie Subaru and asked the guy if they had a MAF and he said yeh sure is it 3 pin or 5 pin. He got a reply of bugger i dont know! I asked how much and he said around £95 +vat So phoned mechanic and asked is it 3 or 5 pin and he quoted me the part number which i have bloomin left at work! i know it had AA in it and an Orange sticker. Anyway it was the price difference that got me wondering if my mechanic was gonna replace the whole Mass Meter box as when i asked about how many pins he couldnt give me an answer and was more aimed at me getting this part number. Finally......hope your still with me here!! Just wondering if my MAF was faulty do i really need to replace the whole Mass Meter or could i just replace the MAF? AND What would the part number be for a V3 JDM STi Type-RA Mass Meter........ MAF Sensor........(how many pins too?) Hope someone can help as its a big price difference!! Cheers Ian
  22. Just a quickie, my MAF might be on the way out and i`m trying to gauge how much they are and who sells them. Its for a 97 JDM STi TypeRA Version 3 Cheers Ian
