Ive seen that pic before,after that castle was demolished the mining industry went mental and there was a pit head just behind the filling station again called stonelaw towers,we did boreholes a couple of years ago and got down 7 mtrs and lost a drill head,dissapeared into a massive underground void !!!! on a side note i spoke with BP today who advised its only a shop refresh and branding image change, no plans to renew tanks as part of the deal as its a leased site. Lets wait and see....

Thats the problem, a damaged Tank compartment and unfortunately it was the V power one !!!!

As all these questions over car detailing and specialist products would it be worthwhile organising a wee demo night at the Chemical guys in Canbuslang, im quite sure if he was to get business out of it then he would be happy to show off his services and wares? Its not, it can take the best part of a day to do it right, very time consuming but attention to detail and all that certainly pays off. Davie

Much the same with me, state of our roads mixed with Fuel prices,road tax etc etc has made me think for the first time about selling up for good, the hawkeye i have will be my last scoob as i dont fancy the hatches and as all good things come to an end !!!! I am fortunate enough to be able to afford my car as a weekend toy and maintain/run/modify and until i can no longer do that i will continue to clean it,polish it,spend money on but more importantly be able to drive it as it should be driven at times, cruise when cruising suits but boot the nuts off it on the B roads when the opporchancity ;-) offers the clear road ahead. I have signed up for the ring with 14 of my fellow enthusiasts which i am looking forward to but loads of runs,holidays and enjoyment of the car before then. I am on my 3rd scoob from a Y plate WRX wagon to the 04 STI blob ( the best by far in my opinion) to my 07 STI hawkeye,with 400bhp to play with. Davie

Was heading out from the town,passed the Barrhead cut off in the dip and the Police layby a traffic car with the passenger pointing a feckin speed gun at the oncoming traffic !!!! Speed traps in the dark whatever next ? VAT at 20% ? V power at £1.40 per litre? road tax for a hawkeye £435 !!!! Rantings over Davie

OK, its been a while since i needed new tyres and now i need 4. Hawkeye STI,occasional use at weekends and some B road fun, no track days etc so good all rounder required wet and dry. Dont like the REO70s so what do you all think? I priced up Goodyear Eagle F1s which i had two on the front and were superb sogetting 4 x 225 x 45 x 17s cheapest i got S/F was £490.00 Davie
