  1. pmsl John, Sure, don't think the boss will mind me racking up a few hundred miles on the new toy aye right!!! In reply, I am a lucky guy Cheers Russ
  2. Well, we finally received our 06my Sti Demonstrator so thought it would be rude not to take it home for a wee evaluation First thoughts..... very very responsive. New drive by wire makes the throttle response great. Power delivery is very smooth, and incredibly torquey. The car is standard just now as the PPP's have not been launched yet. Can't wait for that, should make the car very quick. New dash is cool, electro luminescent red same as jdm models. Feels slightly sharper than 05MY. Will see how it goes over the weekend but I think it will be really rewarding drive once I get a bit more used to it Cheers Russ
  3. Just heard. Very very sad Thoughts and sympathies go out to his family.
  4. Mark, I have researched this and you are correct. Although the parts look the same there must be some difference as they have different part numbers. The Sti Duct is 90817fe200 £91.75+vat Sti Bellows 90817fe040 £26.13+vat Cheers Just gimme a bell if you want them Russ
  5. Tango, as craig said, could you turn on your pm. Cheers Russ
  6. Glad to hear your ok Andy. Russ
  7. Cheers Ian you biatch.... handbags at dawn matey I am very lucky as the wife is as much of a nutter as me, so the mods are fairly well accepted Don't know what else is on the cards, any suggestions? Possibly considering an AndyF remap, but not too sure as the car produced 271bhp / 270lbft on the rollers 4 weeks ago so it's certainly going well enough. Regards Russ
  8. Scoobylav, in answer to your query................... No. I have dropped the price to try and generate some interest. Will keep trying. Cheers for the rest of the comments folks Regards Russ

  11. Well, decided to bite the bullet and de-tango the front of the wife's car on Tuesday. Took a deep breath and removed the lights and them put them in the oven, gas mark 3 6 mins each side turning occassionally and not forgetting to baste them in their own juices. Came apart luvverly. Really like the look of the front end of the car now. opinions appreciated Before tango After de-tangoed again Cheers Russ
  12. Would deffo recommend it. Takes a bit of time as I followed the instructions to the letter and covered up electrics and tried to apply liberally to the engine. It really lifts the green wax that is on everything tho'. Then it's a case of just rinsing it off and applying the detailer. Let it dry and wipe down any excess that's left. Jobs a good un. Think it is called CD2 engine cleaner and detailer. £7.99 Cheers for the kind comments Wife will appreciate them Russ
  13. cheers folks Makes washing it every second day worthwhile. Russ
  14. Was incredibly bored at work today so decided to give the wife's motor a damn good cleaning. Normally a wash would do but thought it was time to try out the C2 engine cleaner and detailer from Halfrauds. Not bad stuff and very easy to use. Engine Bay Side on A Clean Rear Cheers Russ
