  1. I used the redstuff pads on track and they were fine, no fade at any time with crappy two pots. Made a mmess of my wheels though and after a couple of the sessions the brakes were smoking badly but no fade.
  2. I've got to agree with playsatan and grant, the R6 is probably just as quick in most situations. My old R6 often showed 170 on the clocks easily and it embarressed a lot of Sp1, blade and R1 riders at times. A lot is down to the rider as you know (+ i'm defo not the quickest). Dave, what gearing are you running? How much top end have you lost?
  3. Looks good, might pop down wi the missus. What time does this start?
  4. andyr, i sent you an email, to ad.rowat, is this right?
  5. I can't believe that sod playsatan made 320 brake just by removing the cats.
  6. I can't view your profile m8. If you pm me your email i'll send you pics. They are in good nick, only a couple of minor scuffs. The only reason i'm offering them is i've just fitted 17" speedlines so these are sitting in the garage gathering dust.
  7. If you come and get them £120 quid. I'm based in glasgow. If you want pics i can email them to you m8.
  8. I've got a set of 16" gold five spokes in good condition with plenty of tread on tyres going cheap if anyone's interested.
  9. Deepo, who works for top gear is good. I'd also recommend greersport, they certainly know their scoobs.
  10. That's the one liam.. Nice pic by the way.
  11. Kartman that P1 of yours was bloody quick, at one point i was turning into duffus and saw you coming down the straight, the next thing i knew you were superglued to the back of me car. The rate at which you caught up was unreal, i think i'll need to upgrade to fourpots now. Oh i was in a silver sti2 with white wheels.
  12. I'd defo fit a knocklink. It's an easy job to do yourself if you can do a little diy but if you think £130 is a lot just wait till you start running the thing as they are defo not the cheapest cars to run. Be prepared for a constantly empty wallet.
  13. i had a great day, good weather and glad to get the car out on track at last. Seemed to be a well organised day with no delays although it was very busy.
  14. Just noticed i'll need to head up earlier as signing on is at 12.45 and starting at 13.45 now. If anyone is interested i'll be at the little theif at 11.45 and leaving at 12.00 to get there in time. Johnny
  15. I'll be there!! 1. WRC No 1 >> 2. billyboy and wife (follows me everywhere.doesn't trust me.i wonder why?) 3. Playsatan 4. JohnnyR6 How about 12.30ish meet somewhere along the A80/M80?
  16. cheers guys, Wr1 do you not also keep the plugs out while you turn the car over to get the oil pressure up as this is supposed to reduce back pressure putting the engine under less stress until the pressure is up? That's what i was told to do.
  17. The best i've had is 13.3 @ 103mph in a standard sti 2
  18. Good times m8. I wasn't there but my m8 was up in his escy cossie and he mentioned a red scoob with black rims was putting in some good times.
  19. Right guys, i'm going to service my 95 sti2 meself, it's the first time i will have done it. Is there anything i should watch out for? Is there an easy way to do the plugs or is it everything in the way off. I know the procedure for changing the oil on it and have done many a service on other cars but was just wondering if there was any tips. Cheers Johnny
  20. Sorry guys, i won't be able to make it as i'm working (bloody surgeons never take a day off)
  21. Excellent, nice car m8
  22. Nowt wrong wi bikers either
  23. Forgot to add you should speak to jvs and see what they can get you for your cash, (powervehicles.com)
  24. That's a nice car and a fair price, these decisions are always hard. There is far more performance potential from the scoob and the bugeyes seem to be growing on everyone. Personally i'd rather get a classic STI you should be able to get a my99 sti 5 for 10.5k but then it's all down to personal choice. My mate has a 99 sti5 type r and in standard trim (although 1 cat is removed) it can do a quarter mile in 12.9 secs.
