  1. very much so ;-) there's no right answer, just personal preference and your own perception of what features you want/need ;-)
  2. All about the lenses! I started with a Nikon D40, then got better lenses, then bought a D5100. Used the proceeds of selling photos of local mtb events to pay for the D5100. There's quite a few cameras about in that price range and you're probably best reading reviews about them to decide. Theres a huge photography community online so plenty to draw from. Then there's the Canon vs Nikon argument ... massive can of worms ;-)
  3. My little Vitara is like that, only use it for taking the mountain bike out and for messy stuff and always get caught out, it is well handy being able to indicate with the right hand though, when i drive it quite often it becomes quite natural
  4. We've got a panasonic SD-60. Does full HD onto SD Cards and has an amazing image stabilisation function on it. Well worth a look and it was a reasonable price when we got it! it may have been sueprceded now as we got that a year and a half ago now i think
  5. How do you declare a wrap on your V5 and insurance as technically the car is still the original colour but just has a large sticker on it
  6. Based purely on my common sense, if you stall the turbo you've slowed the turbine speed, therefore to get back on boost you need to get the turbo spinning up again which requires exhaust gasses flowing through the turbo. This means you've got to wait for the revs to increase which in turn gets exhaust gasses flowing which then gets the turbine back up to speed and then you'll get your boost back.
  7. Its always good to put good reviews up, means a quick search by someone unsure about a new company can quickly see if there's plenty of happy customers. On previous owners club forums some people are always quick to criticise so nice to see this happening here
  8. Echo all comments above, only ordered a few small items but service has been spot on and very quick. Always comes well packaged as well
  9. The previous owner of mine fitted mud flaps and some nicely styled carbon fibre over the rear arches to try and prevent stone chips (i assume), it looks really smart so i haven't taken it off. What are peoples thoughts on that, should that be declared as well, technically they are mods i suppose but hardly in the same league as those that alter the operation of the car?
  10. I may be looking to replace my speakers sometime in the near future, post up how you get and what you get
  11. Completely agree, it really needs to start going somewhere and with a bit more to get into from the off. Alcatraz is the complete opposite, straight into it. It has all the hallmarks of a J.J. Abrams show all over it, even the music reminds me a bit of Lost! I quite like things that jump around from past to present all the time too, keeps you thinking
  12. I've seen all 4, been quite enjoying it too. Definitely aired on Watch HD on Sky anyway as I recorded it on the HD box Episode 5 recorded tonight Noticed in watching it that there's some other programmes I'd quite like to watch on Watch too, shame they're mid series though Watching that 'Touch' on Sky Atlantic as well with Kiefer Sutherland in, taking a while to get going that though.
  13. Watched the BBC4 programme at lunchtime on iPlayer, the massive hairy moment before they go through a cattle grid at 7min40 in is on the Isle of Man ... wish i remembered going to watch them when i was a kid, my dad says he had me out there watching them but I can't remember it gutted
  14. That will be cheaper by a long way, over 152.9 at the mo here, however if they search your car and find them they'll make you empty them before they let you on the boat :-( I always brim the tank just before getting on the boat.
  15. 147.9 for 95 and 152.9 for Super over here
  16. Yep, we've got Super. Total garages do their Excellium 97 RON and Manx Petroleums are a Shell distributor so their super unleaded 'should' be V-Power, that's what I've been filling up with anyway
  17. I'll be heading down London way in May with mine too, probably not inside the M25 though. Off to vist a few mates around the UK and popping down to see my sister in Chelmsford too so i'll probably skirt around the M25. Bit of a random tour taking in Sheffield, Leicester, Chelmsford, Tewkesbury, Newtown and then back to the boat via the Trafford Centre or Liverpool One probably. Think i'll try and go off piste where i can rather than plodding along the motorways, Tewkesbury to Newtown & then up again should be good though, hopefully get on some twisty's through Wales
  18. I'm fairly new here so I've limited knowledge to help others, generally keep an eye about and post now and then but as has been mentioned i'm not one for posting for postings sake
  19. I had one as a hire car a year or so back, i found the steering didn't feel as if it was connected to the wheels ... not sure whether it was the lack of feedback, over active power steering or what but I was left unsure whether me moving teh steering wheel would actually turn the wheels!!
  20. I would say it was my old Citroen AX, 896cc engine and weighed naff all but it was so much fun, like a little go-kart even though it didn't handle it was still ace fun
  21. Amen ... all Apple do is market it really well so people think it's waaaaaaaaay better than anything else out there on the market. Also iTunes annoys me greatly!! Android all the way for me, looking at upgrading my Desire to a One S in a couple of months
