About mookiie

  1. Well have been looking for a head unit and mud flaps, think i have settled on the lower kenwood unit, had a look on car audio direct, they seem to have all the facia's and bits that i'll need. 6.5" speakers too, but will need to do some more research for them, the factory tweeters in the front door pillars i'll leave as standard. had a look on a few forums and subaru tech info, dosent look to bad to fit. have already ordered the tools to do the panel removal. Just got to wait until next pay day for the expensive bit. As for the Mud Flaps, i'm going to go with Rally Armor poly, black with blue writing, had a search about and they look good, proper brackets as if someone actually thought about what they were doing:) Stunning car don Your not wrong this is turning in to an obsession. I also am going to be a full member when pay day gets here, the missus likes to keep check on the money lol
  2. I should be able to get like for like upgrades, i'll see whats avaliable.
  3. Had the Hatch now for 2 weeks, first Subaru i have owned. The first day of driving it around i can honestly say that i thought i had bought the wrong car, too loud, noisy brakes, no toys etc. But now just cant leave the thing alone. Its my daily drive, my missus is using the DS3 (my company car) for work and i use the hatch. Its just an easy car to go quick in (i'm not a racing driver feels really light on its feet, nimble, brakes never fade, love the sound of the Pipe, dont care that the stereo is rubbish, i'll happily drive it around with the window down, the sound coming from the hayward and scot 4 way out is stunning. Drove to Essex from berkshire to see some mates, no issue at all, in I mode returned around 29 ish MPG, got there put it in sport# had a bit of fun drove home still 1/4 of a tank left. Its got a pretty useful boot, loads of room in the back. (although no one will be sitting there) (or in fact using the boot). I can safely see what all the talk was about now! Pros - all of the above Cons - bugger all that i can see. One thing i am going to do is fit a kenwood/pinoeer/alpine nav system which ever one comes out cheapest. Just because i'm not a fan of sticking things to the windscreen. couple more photos here
  4. I got some on my other pc I'll post a couple... Thanks all for the welcome comments ....
  5. I had no idea how ballistic these cars were till Friday.... Love this machine. Feels a lot quicker than my Ghibli 2, and in boring mode getting pretty good mileage...
