Aye a bloomin shld have. Thot itd be a simple two min job as wth all other blbs ive done on previous cars well except the missus micra which was a pain in the @ss. Didnt even find anynof the effing spiders that keep makng webs inside the car. And got in it this morning and another web on the passenger side again from sunvisor to the seat. . Did however manage to clean the car inside and out even though it seemed over cast.

lol baz,, if you feel you wana takle this krypton factor challenge feel free, i have a dent of the clip imprinted into my thumb from maning up to it , i gave up when i walked towards the car with hammer and flathead screwdriver in hand and thot hold on a sec.... put the tools down and step away lol

ok couldnt make the run today so thot id do a little work on the car ,general clean ,go spider hunting and fix the bulb that went on the car the other day there, anyway i wouldnt say im completely inept but went to change the low beam light and straight from the off it was a pain in the A$$, the cover on the back taht you have to unscrew anti clock wise was on so tight i struggled for 10 mins trying to get it off, even after takeing of the air intake thats above the grill to make access easier, once i got that off, tried to uplug the electircal wire , and wouldnt even budge, checke dthe manual to make sure i was doing it correctly and still couldnt get it off, thought id just work round it and undo the spring holding the bulb in, ...couldnt even unclip it, so have gave up and we trip to halfords or local garage get them to do it, just thot id rant about it being a pain in the backside and vent that i couldnt get it done lol . and i thot the missus micra bulb change was a pain .

Pmsl. Please tell me they done it for a laugh or to see how it sounded rather than actualy fit it like that

hey folks and mods not to sure whether to post this in events ,off topic or general banter so will let one of you mods decide on best possible place. anyway wondered if there would be any intrest and possible chance of doing this as an actual trip some time in a year or two in time to come . thinking itd probably involve a trip to france in the channel tunnel aswel would be easyiest heres a vid , think itd be a good trip and worth a visit just to travel over it and even walk accross too , recomend after the first 20 seconds becase theres a lush tunnel skipping to about 1:12 in the vid

Lol if it is someone messing with it and i caght them i probably would just get the old bill involved and sort it there and then as much as id love some payback in my own way no point me gettn done for being impulsive. P.s if tardis is unknowingly accidently spilt onto a cars body paint by accident and left there for a couple days without being washed off straight away and this is a hyperthetical question what would be the end result. ..

Aye after i decided to look at it the following day in the light it was the marks/scrapes into the alloy that made me think that someones been in at it and thats what made me think id have a look around the car park for the valve and i found that broken cap about 8ft away from the car in the grass with the graze marks on it. Tyre and wheel seem fine when i pulled over on the night it happened the air was still coming out of it. So thats what made me think maybe valve failure. ..Bu like i said no paint damage or body work damage touch wood. And il get it fixed. The car sits there 5days a week while im at work and only gets used if i go out on my days off realy or for club meets/shows. So if something else does happen thats dodgy then cctv will defo get put up. Wouldnt want to put a flyer up as id quite like to see thw scroat thats doing it and get some public justice.. Everymans subaru is his castle and a man has a right to defend that castle. If that means breaking a couple fingers or hand so he cant damage it so be it. And if it is the c2 owner well....lol

Gona get it fixed and if some happens again il go down cctv route kniwing the odds are slim to non exvistent to.it being accidental.issue with cctv is private car park is a good 20ft away fi house. Folks house is just over the road and their bedroom looks down onto car park

am no that bad a parker, only trouble with the proximity sensor is the parking spaces are side by side all 7 of them and the others come and go , this person wi the c2 their space is next to mine , on the same side the tyres have been flat , little fcukers , in car motion cctv sounds a good idea but funds are a lacking , no scratches or any other damage just these two flats, i did think to check paint work ect ect ... and found nothing the mising valve is repairable isnt it, just a case of putting a new one in or is it new tyre time...?

starting to think one of my neighbours or someone near by is messing with my car , 2nd time in two weeks if had a flat tyre, first time was the passenger front tyre and it had a roofing nail in it, which i thought ok seeing how their still building houses in my scheme/estate then it could happen , then sat night going to pick my sister up from up town on a night out im driving along and start thinking something feel strange about the car , and i pull over just up from the new royal ed-hospital which if you know where cathy stays im just round the corner so its about 10min drive , look at the tyres and hardly notice anything then spot the rear passenger side is looking low so think great ive got a slow puncture , anyway long story short ,change the tyre in pitch black ,have a glance at it dont see any hole and then notice the valve is missing , finding it strange i chuck everything in the boot , anyway it plays on my mind how the valve could go out only seeing it in films where its been ripped out ,cut off , or i think i filled the tyres to 49 psi and maybe the ehat and presure blew it out , get home today and think il look at it again and look at the alloy this time and see scratches around where the valve and think ive either caught the kerb and its scraped the valve out or someones been at it with a set of plyers. the cars parked in its own private spot comunual parking so theres 7 spaces and we each have our own set space that we own , i decide to have a look around the space i park in and the grass surrounding just incase someone has pulled it out and lobbed the valve just incase .. i dont find any valave but i do find a valve cap broken with grazes/scrapes on it , in teh grass about 8 foot away from my car but no valve . (picture below) thats two flat tyres in two weeks on the same side, i am thinkign it could be one of my neighbours but theres only one new person moved into the flat thats rented in the past couple months and its been fine the 2years before hand which makes me think if it is someone it could be this new 19year old lad and his 28 yearold misus who owns a wee sporty citreon C2. im not saying this is the case but just seems fishy .. will show pictures and wondering if anyone knows of or has had a valave blow out on them, pic of alloy aswel so you can see scrape marks round the valve, its teh marks that makes me think more someone with plyers dunno if you can see the scrape marks on the cap but to me its broke and looks like plyershave griped it and pulled on it and the plastic has worn down thoughts folks? should also add everything seemed fine at start of journey its was about 5mins into it that i felt something strange about the handling , and there was still some air in the tyre when i was taking it off which makes me think maybe its just one of those things thats happened while iw as driving

no if the misus has her way mate. all the money is goin to the wedding fund so if it is goosed then itl be off the road until after august next year

seems to be one thing after the other with me the now,, fixed the problem with the car pulling to the right after swapping over the punctured tyre, now when i was getting the car ready for tomorow pressing the clutch pedal slowly to the floor it squeked like a mofo , thought it was just maybe the pedal but when i done it again with the windows down you could hear it coming from the front of the car . doesnt squeek when pressing at a normal rate like when driving along but pressing it slowly and it happens. any ideas folks and if anyone does , are we talking lots of pennies to fix ... or would anyone going to show tomorow or sunday care to listen to it and give their two cents..... cheers paul

Oh aye baz tuink it cld be that. As its a brand new eagle f1 on the front left and all the rest have been on since i got the car and cpvered about 14,000 miles in the two years nearly. So vey well cld be that. Miht get the old one vulcanised and chuck it back on u til i can get funds for another 3new ones then just do all four at same time

As usual wi 70% of my posts wee bit of advice or help. Got a flat tyre on front passenger singer. Put on a replacement tyre and wheel i had in the garage. Same size of tyre as the rest and alloy. But now cars pulling to the right and even worse when acelarting wont even mention what its like when the turbo kicks in only happened since i replaced this So obviously first thot is tracking and wheel alignment.dont wana put it in the garage and get this all done if its not the case so just wanting vit of reasurance that my first gues is correct.

just to save some reading for you dr who fans out there (badbazz) this isnt an epic tale of my adventure in a blue police box traveling through time and space battleing one eyed darleks that shoot fire extinguishers and would be fcuked when it came to a set of stairs... more along the lines of it was my day of yesterday and decided id give the car a good clean to get ready for the falkirk wheel meet on sunday ,my other day off. upon choosing to give my motor a bit of tlc good scrub hose down and polish rather than slap the lard on and sunbathe i thought id finaly grow a pair and try using the tardis i bought when i went down to oulton park for the agm . done my usual cleaning steps, power wash, 2 hot buckets of water one with car shampoo the other without , another power wash , and then thot now is the time to man up and use the tardis , after reading the advice i got on here from a post a long time back about how best to use the stuff , i proceded to get an empty spray bottle , chuck a funnel in the end and half fill it with tardis . car was looking prety clean already but did see loads of tar spots all over the paint work . grabbed a pair of my mums rubber gloves, luckily they werent pink but a kind of orange colour , and with neighbours in their gardens basking in the sun looking at me as to why i have a set of orange marigolds on , i then worked on one panel at a time starting with the front wing, first couple of mist sprays and my ring piece clenches up tighter than a nuns chuff , wee voice in my head saying please dnt FC#k this up or discolour the vinyl stickers. allowed it to sit on the paint work for a few seconds then gave it a good wipe not too much pressure with the cloth ,and was suprised the dirt that appeared on the cloth , also at this point my buttocks and ring piece unclenches as i think to myself the paint work is fine THE VINYLS ARE NOT DISCOLOURED!!!!!!!!!!! :boldblue: so after working on each panel and even just spraying on and seeing the tar spots disolving and running down without me even touching them which was good to see . i then power wash each panel again and sponge wash again just to be sure all excess tardiss is removed , i then clay bar car, polish and wax , so about 4hours after starting i finaly finish the outside of the car , the paint work is looking its best that ive seen in a long time ,its now smoother than a playboy bunnys undercarriage and i decide il leave the wheels and interior until the following day (today) not hearing that its meant to be p!ss!ng it down and just my luck after putting the hose and buckets away , i come back round the front to find a nice bird sh!t on the roof the little barsteward , luckily it landed on the white vinyl that makes the scotland flag so bit of kitchen roll and i wiped that fc#ker off . no pics which i was hoping to take today as i wanted to get them after doing the wheels and interior and then go take some shhexxy photos of my baby all cleaned and tidyed up so gutted its raining. anyway cant recomend the tardis stuff enough , tho think my buttocks will still clench a little when i go to use it again, but my confidence in using it has went from 0 to about 20 lol cheers for reading if u made it this far paul

got two weeks holiday in september, 1week the same as magnificent machines and the week after, would love to do the applecross run there

yeah i would be up for it , i mentioned it near the end of last year , but it was more going to see the racing , but even a group trip over wld be top job like!!!!!!
