About Wallace

  1. Cheers for that, sounds exactly what I need.
  2. Hi, I am fairly new to Subaru ownership and have a Legacy non-turbo. It's been serviced at the dealer since new, which is good but I am finding their costs a bit on the high side. Are there any Subaru specialists in the Lanarkshire, possibly even into West/ mid lothian areas or any good garages people can recommend? cheers, Wallace.
  3. Hi, Thanks for the replies, I tried to find a Legacy forum but without much sucess so I will have alook at the one above. I am pretty sure it's 160 odd bhp as I said, think it's 162/163 as teh dealership checked it apparently they only did this power output for a relatively short time, then it was reduced again. Another question is the MPG, can anyone comment on whether 22-25 is about right? Cheers.
  4. Complete indifference ensues, that car hasn't got a turbo, it's not a real scooby, rubbish!
  5. Hi, I am fairly new on here and to Subaru ownership. I have made one post before I think looking for technical info and got a link to Impeza workshop manuals which were very good but I think I really need to start at the beginning. I have a Legacy estate, 2005 model 2.0 RE. So it's a nice big comfy car, full leather big sunroof, aircon, ,alloys etc. When it came to looking at the manuals one of the first questions engine wise was is it a single or double overhead cam, no idea. I know it's a 4 cylider 2 litre non turbo with 160 odd BHP but that's about it. Alos I've been reading about 4wd, I know it's a aymetrical system which I got the garage to explain but what's the power split? Does it have Torsen diffs, LSD, again no idea? Can anyone advis me or point me in the right direction, I'm not a numpy (honest) just haven't had a Subaru before. cheers in advance.
