  9. big thanks to mr mcgowan . was driving to halfords on sat to get oil for the car and drove past what looked like a poilce check point being set up down seafield road, was a van , couple cars and two bikes, so pull into halfords and think im sure my M.O.T is due at the end of the month along with its service. erm.... no it was due the second week in march so was driving all over the place with it 6 weeks out of date :iamstupid: quick text to baz and says bring it in on monday . on the way there taking it nice and easy not to draw unwanted attention as im a tad paranoid now knowing that its out of date and not wanting to get pulled for a section 43 of the road trafic act i pull out to overtake a lorry on the M8 put the foot down a little and HISSSSSSS just as the turbo goes to kick in , ease of the throttle and try again ....HISSSSS again ok. lets just ease slowly past the truck and pull back in . thinking the worst that the turbos gone text baz to give him a heads up ,reply is maybe a loose hose .... get there before baz is open yet have a quick look under the bonnet and check to see if any hoses are loose and cant see jack s##t . lads arrive car goes throught he usual motions of the M.O.T and passes , now for the HISSSSS. turns out loose clips that hadnt been tightened properly from last time it had been taken apart ,, quick tighten of the clips -run the car out has boost again but still a slight hiss sound again . back into the garage and there was another loose clip under the intercooler , take it apart again tighten clip up , reasemble , one more try , run the car pushed it hard and all seems fine . soooo BIG THANKS BAZ for fitting me in so soon again on short notice and top job again

  11. Good to hear glynn. i know i still dont venture too much out of the scottish section. quick browse of the latest topic threads on the main page then straight clicking onto forum and then scotland. Do clik general topic etc but not as often as i just go into scotland.
  12. that being said it may aslo put some people off joining too if its subaru IMPREZA drivers club, they may think well i own a BRZ for example so why join an impreza forum .... but yeah there could be other issues , hopefully time will tell and things will g from strength to strength
  13. :iagree: :iagree: :iagree: onwards and upwards, i double agree/second the above, with dave and gus , if it brings more variety , more members and makes the club bigger and more active and freshmeat/blood into the fold then what harm will it do, everyone ive always seen has called it SIDC, other than being at a show and a commentator has shouted out the full name , to me it will always be SIDC and il be an impreza driver in it , might just be habbit il call it subaru impreza drivers club .
