  1. did i see you again on sunday parked up the road opposite the premier in, saw two parked up, a black impreza wagon and one that looked a bit like yours, didnt get a good look i came off the roman road roundabout and down the holmer road driving a escort cossie and went back up it about 15mins later driving the impreza............... its a hard life lol
  2. See ya rumbling past the BP station as i was filling up. dont know if you saw me car was looking rather clean
  3. Hi there, welcome to SIDC as to the fuel guage thing its a odd one, i have a classic so cant really tell you if its a known fault on the bug eye. if the fuel pump is going down i would think that would chuck up a ecu light to warm you of a engine not getting enough fuel, which in turn (in my mind), may put the car into limp mode to protect the car from further damage Limp mode is the car turning down your boost which may explain you not getting the performance delivery you expected. now i may be miles off with that but thats just my thoughts. where abouts are you, im sure someone is close who would be more than happy to take a gander for you
  4. welcome along car looks great, good photos thought i would put in my 2 pence, i went HID bi zenon for 80 quid (UK Seller) and they made a great diference. quick change of the sidelight bulbs to some hid look gen 3 led's to match and it brings the front end into the future and i can see much better
  5. i must admit i would be on cloud nine as well with them times. i belive opie do a lot of sponsership, could be worth a look
  6. nice one mate glad it went well, gutted i didnt go now lol you made a impression as i spoke to a mate of mine from my local club and they told me about your car ...... good times
  7. thats a very good time, bet he is well happy with that
  8. how was it iain? did you better that run at all?
  9. i cant make it this year, my local club project carz is going, which will be sporting a nice wr1 that is for sale if i get a day off over the weekend which is not likely i will try and pop over for a day
  10. haha yer they do catch a few people out at the lights i was down at sumo the other day and i was really impressed at the set up they have there, really really good. i hope the impreza turns out ok for you, it took me ages to find a goodun
  11. ah yer probably have seen those cars cutting about. got to love the volvo's a mate of mine has one as his track car, all stickered up like the touring cars, you probably seen that about ashford. its hard not to see it lol umm as for work most gets done at powerstation here in the midlands as im up here more than i am down in kent nowdays. i would take the car to sumo power in rye no hesitation there, only down side is they are a little expensive but they are very very good
  12. they are a handy tool, cost me about 30 quid with the fluid, i would say you could borrow mine but im up at work in the midlands at the moment. you have probabaly seen my car around as i am from littlestone and often pass through your way on route to folkestone my car ah yer thats true with the rear plate, odd one though as im sure turbo 2000 was uk only. might be a impreza that will actually wave back now down our way, not many do. saying that there is not many down round the marsh
  13. nice dog you have there, never seen one of them before. i just looked and that plate dont come up as anything so im guessing it is a wrx inport although the ad says turbo 2000 which i was under the impression was the uk version. but more digging i thnk, maybe ask to see the log book etc. as to mechanical soundness i cant really help other than the basics, start it from cold listen for knocks, ask him if you can drive it straight away, if he lets you its obvious he or she dont let it warm up before they drive it, if they decline and say no it needs to warm up first thats a good sign. have a good nose round for leaks and or marks on the drive etc (it might leak but he may have moved it from its normal place so it looks like it dont) i take a hydrocarbon tester with me when i view second hand cars, 5 min job will give you a rough indication as to weather or not there is oil in your coolant meaning there is contamination probably from a failing head gasket the list can go on, as for graphics i have seen blue on silver and black on silver both looked nice where abouts in kent are you? all the best
  14. Blue 05 plate impreza (poss UK300) pulled up behind my classic in the services sorry i didnt say hi, had been up for hours and just wanted to get to bed lol Hi if your on here
  15. White bug eye with headlamp conversion, looked nice i went passed in my classic, changed up into 5th and BOV screamed out loud and got a few looks from the guys on the range. if your on here hello, great day to be on the ranges in the sun i bet
  16. Hi there not sure if your here or not blue blob eye with wrc decals on it. was parked up in the corner of the overflow carpark you came back to the car as i was driving out the car park, i didnt wave as i was in the silver ford people carrier not my impreza nice car though and hi if your on here
  17. hi there, you were a few place in front of me in the drive thru saw a few sidc stickers so may be on here would have stopped but had to eat and get back up to work hi though
  18. I must say it looked very nice, wouldnt mind a closer look sometime not seen it about before again cheers for the wave ed
  19. Very Very nice WRC style impreza (didnt see which shape possible blob or hawkeye) look super wide, all the rally antennas, stickered up the lot female driver gave me a happy wave so i waved back if your on here hi (i was in the classic mica blue impreza)
  20. Up the top end of folkestone just going onto a roundabout, blue wagon blobeye i think, flashed your lights so i waved back i was in the classic deep blue mica impreza
  21. ah i see, it makes sense now, my car was mapped with the dv fitted so i am fairly safe cheers
  22. mine came with a hks ssqv fitted, quite loud and its not the usual sound, i wouldnt have fitted it but it was on the car and it runs ok now so its staying on there. in one of the previous posts it says a dv will break a engine, why is that?
  23. there are a few classics round this way that race all over the place, i poodle along at the speed limit and if anyone tail gates me i make a point of looking back and laughing..........unless they are in something faster than mine lol i feel that because you can pick a classic up for pennies (might not be any good) that a lot of young boy racers are getting them and giving us bad names. i have a classic mini and thats the same full of people waving etc etc, i wave at imprezas when passing, you can normally tell the ones that will wave back, i think there is a lack of enthusiasts around my area, just lots of owners who dont look after the car and basicly trash it and give the few enthusiasts around here (me being one of them) a bad name anyone who owns a impreza just cos its another car shouldnt have one, you have to have a passion for the car, be that looking after it and track days what ever makes you happy some people may think thats sad but just the way i am with my cars and hopefully black tiger will not leave the subaru fold because of a few idiots over that way. cheers
  24. if this is the ad im thinking of then i remember it. think the car was parked on a road in the middle of nowhere with fields all around it. if it is i saw it on there and a month later my mate was looking and saw the ad and sent it to me to have a look and instantly remembered it, he emailed them and got the whole italy thing but was not happy and reported the ad to admins if its not the same car then its a big old scam going on
