  1. Good stuff. Keep us updated on how they bed in.
  2. Cheers Jon for the reply. Half the bumper, had thought that myself but I only have a scrape on one corner so maybe thats it. I will query that. The prices you have quoted are most helpful to my enquiry. Thanks again. I will post up how I get on.
  3. Have a quote for the following, half front bumper respray, respray of rear bumper, one wing mirror, 2 dents being sorted out and finally having my black wrx side sills colour coded to the car. I think the quote is quite reasonable but dont want to have a cheap job done for a cheap price and dont want to be paying over the odds either. The other thing is that not knowing anything about spraying I asked the guy if he needs the paint code or does he contact Subaru for the paint, he said no that he would mix the paint using top of the range paint/equipment that they have. Does that seem sound? If anyone who would know what the rough price for this sort of work would be then send me a goatquote. Cheers.
  4. Cheers. I had noticed during my search. Yep please let me know how they are over standard. Thanks.
  5. I have done a search and found quite a few people who have godspeed brakes. Some may have noticed a current deal for grooved discs and kevlar pads which seems good. I have seen some folk getting this so was wanting to know who has had them fitted and really how better they are over standard. I am currently standard at the moment but want to upgrade. I really dont feel that confident in the standard brakes. I had thought about grooved discs with kevlar pads for the rear and DS2500 for the front and again anyone using this setup or similar your input is desired. Are the DS2500 pads going to make much difference than kevlar pads?? Thanks and have a lovely snowy day
  6. I have a 3/4 size plate on front and no probs.
  7. Lucky man!! The patient quest continues. Let me know know they feel on the car, and post up pics too. Cheers.
  8. Where did you get your tarmacs from?! Ive been told they arent any in stock in most places ive tried at the moment!! Cheers
  9. Take her out for a spin, might change her mind....oh and shoes....and florida
  10. I have eibach springs with standard shocks with fast road geo also on my bug. all good.
  11. Good man. I see lots but dont know if they are on here. Have talked to a couple of Impreza owners in passing whilst out and about and they hadnt heard of sidc, I shouldve splatted them! Yep, you get it with membership, also Total Impreza magazine every 2 months. cheers
  12. Yeah, as per above replies, I wondered if anyone had ever used them from the mags. I havent myself. Mark
  13. As in , the cut out adverts in True Grip. Have you, do you, or have you ever been splatted??? Discuss.
  14. I know it, gf's family are from round there. Looks like good fun but that car park would be pretty lethal without the snow lol
  15. Cheers fellas, HT splitter it is then
  16. Is that down Stirling road across from the golf club?
  17. Happy new year to all. I am looking at getting a front splitter for my bug and I am interested in any recommendations you may have on what make/supplier etc? I have noticed the earlier threads about probs with snow/car parks and the like, but feck it im getting one fitted. Are these splitters easy DIY jobs to fit? What do you need to fit them? If any kind souls could be bothered helping me out fitting wise that would be muchly appreciated, or words of advice appreciated also. Thankin U Mark.
  18. Yes, blue is the colour. Silver and blue will look sharp. Nice one. Merry Christmas. Mark.
  19. cheers, sounds good. Hate potholes, worst one I ever hit broke my front wheel, instant deflation and came to a halt on the wrong side of the road. Once the car was of the road, I took pictures of the offending hole and noticed the pile of different style broken wheel trims lying around, took pics of them , pics off to the local council with letter. Hey presto, hole filled in one week later and cheque in post to cover my losses. Power to the people
  20. Cheers spaceman, yes they are 215/45/17. 225/40/18 for me then. thanks.
  21. I had the geometry done when getting the springs/ALK fitted by Dunc and all was good. Pretty sure the 18s are wider than my current 17s. My current tyres are I think 205/45/17 so was assuming I would go for 215/40/18 with the new wheels. The website I was on seemed to suggest 215/35/18 would give the correct readings. Any thoughts? Thanks Mark, and cheers for the replys so far.
  22. Seasons greetings. Santa will be delivering a nice set of 18s this xmas, but I have a few, perhaps basic questions, so hope you folks can help. Currently have my02 wrx with standard 17s and tyres on. Car lowered on Eibach springs. Hope this doesnt sound too daft but I have read on the interweb that going to 18s can cause a few issues, such as my speedo reading incorrectly?? Also my car tramlining?? what does that actually mean?? Also having had the car lowered I dont want to ' raise the height' with the bigger wheels as such. I am confident that the set ive chosen, which are popular with scoobs will be ok but just want to check this out. Thanks and ho ho ho Mark
