  1. Who have you chaps used for your new screens? I have used autoglass via the insurance for my 2nd car and it wasnt a smooth experience. ( 1st screen leaked, 2nd screen rubber seal on top was all 'melted' in parts, glass particles left from the job cut my partners hand open, rubber seal replaced was too long and looked out of place, was left then came loose and flew off on the m-way one night) Great.
  2. Do you have a decat/sports cat fitted? how are the godspeed brakes by the way?
  3. Mines fine for in the car with stereo going. I think what I am meaning is that i want to be ALOT louder lol. Well I sometimes hear a scooby rumble coming but no car, then it appears. I feel my car isnt as loud as that. Mind you, some of my pals who arent into cars think its bloomin loud. Which backbox did you get? I have the 3.5 inch rolled tailpipe, might change it for the jap style one.
  4. Its mapped by andy f and after advice from Hypertech and andy the downpipe cat was left on. If and when I go for the next stage it will be changed. I had read somewhere that fully decatting made the car alot louder. Yes your right, H & S not cheap but have been considering a larger tailpipe to change the look so that might be the way forward at the mo.
  5. Would like my Impreza to be just a tad louder. Currently have a decat uppipe, standard downpipe with cat, decat 2nd pipe, deresonated centre and backbox, all Hayward and Scott. Since firstly putting on the centre and backbox it was louder but since decatting it has more of that lovely burble but maybe not actually much louder. So I am thinking I would like to be a bit louder. So what are my options? Would I get there just by replacing the backbox with something else? Or do I need to decat completely? Wouldnt want to replace the whole system. I have looked on ya' tube as some might suggest but most clips arent that great. So any thoughts, suggestions, bring it on.
  6. Lookin good. C'mon the bugz!
  7. Good 1. Always liked the P1. Cheers.
  8. I didnt make it, but was still up back of 4 with the leg. Turned out my snapping partner could make it so think he went and done it so all good hopefully. I have new 18s tarmacs on my car in gunmetal and very happy with them, tyre choice inbetween choice and happy with that. Took it round to Hypertech last sat to show Dunc + Alex and they liked them on the car. Gonna go out for a wee drive right now in fact Funny though, since sat I think ive seen about 3 cars with the same alloys as mine, 2 were imprezas! Weird how you start seeing what you have as soon as you get it, car wise. Should be cool for tmw.
  9. Im glad my tyre question is providing much interest and debate lol
  10. Fitted these y'day. Seem good so far.
  11. mums know best. I dont know you personally but as someone who lives nearby hope you get sorted.
  12. It will be F1s or T1rs I reckons. Gettin prices and that tmw. Thanks for the input amigos
  13. Hi fellas. Thanks for the replies. It will be 18s that are going on. Bridgestone Potenzas on the car at the moment. The budget tyres will be avoided. I will call them tomorrow and scope out the suggestions you have made.
  14. Hi all. Need some tyre advice. Getting new wheels and tyres this fri. A well known centrally based supplier is fitting them for me. I have been given a price for budget tyres which TBH suits my, ahem, budget. These would be something like Enduro??? never heard of these or Kumho. For £85 more I get Falkens, then for £150 on top of that, thats £235 more than than the budgets I get p zero rossos. Toyos were mentioned as I fancied them but the supplier said the zeros would be a better tyre as there has been two price hikes on the T1r's this year so far. So do I stick with the kumhos and enjoy the saving, the supplier said I would get more miles out of these also, or go mid price Falkens, anyone using these, or stump up for the best. Im thinking mid price or budget TBH, cos Im a no good cheap son ova......no, its just the price for the zeros or toyos is just alot. But I guess you get what you pay for etc so any input is most welcome Cheers folks.
  15. Hi Do u have pics or link to this 'minted' machine. Cheers.
  16. I have Eibach springs on OE shocks. Dunc at Hypertech told me if your shocks are ok then springs only is fine. He checked my shocks and they were fine so fitted the springs. Car looks better, feels better. I do find that when I hit bumps etc I do feel them a bit but only then. Driving along the m-way feels the same as before ride wise for example. One thing to note IMO is watching out going over things that nomally before lowering you wouldnt have bothered about. A bit obvious but I have been nearly caught out a couple of times but I do have wrc style mudflaps that like to scrap over speedbumps etc but that doesnt bother me.
  17. As above if modifying , remapping then 99 ron. I use Tesco 99, no V power near where I live.
