I had wanted to get a bigger scoop, something more noticeable, more aggressive if you like. i didnt quite fancy the blob style on the bug, so tracked down a sti7 scoop in good condition, got it painted and its like new. Here it is going on. Before. Scoop off. Bit closer. And new scoop on! Now I really like this on. I will admit it took a couple of drives to get used to it and to stop looking at it whilst I was driving lol. Big shout to Stewartyboy for scoop fittin duties.

I was noticing that my scoob wasnt sounding loud or burblely ( is that a word! ) enough for me so I spent some time looking on Uratube at clips and checking out what other scoob owners had on theirs. I spotted an Afterburner Vortex backbox for sale on here and as its made by Hayward & Scott for Scoobyworld, I thought that would fit in nicely with my other exhaust parts being Hayward & Scott. Plus I heard that the blue tip gives an extra 0.5 bhp so I couldnt pass it up Here it is on. A bit closer, bit mucky but you get the idea. It gets a good polish and shines up nicely. Have to say my bug now sounds like it should and pops and bangs happily away to itself. I hadnt been a big fan of the jap look before, preferring the straight rolled in look, but this is just so good on. Love it. Cheers to Doublezero for a smooth transaction as well

Hello. If you want to see a cool wagon check out Richies silver wagon in the 'random photo thread' in the off topic section. Pics are near the end of the thread. Its been modified but you will get the idea. Also pics of a bug and how it can look with some tweaking Good luck with finding what you are after. Cheers.

Pretty cheap price, maybe fall off after 10 miles lol, but you never know might be ok. Maybe worth a go. Alot cheaper than say scoobyworld, scoobyparts flaps but I have them and doin fine a year later. They come with a metal bracket to attach to the car, notice these dont but it does say full instructions included so if you got them and they werent goin fit too securely always return them?

To Spoiler Or Not To Spoiler Thats The Question

Its all up to individual choice. I think the wrc spoiler is pretty wild looking, but you maybe wouldnt have that many hawks with it on, but your car is well cool as is, and you would get cash for other stuff as mentioned. Get someone to do a good photoshop effort then you will know -
A few days ago going through Port Glasgow past the big tescos noticed in the rear view mirror a civic that looked a bit boy racer type. I had a wee feeling. I passed the garage on the left and got the red lights at coronation park. Great I thought he will be stopping right beside me. It hadnt even rolled to stop when I hear a nasally voice go ' Oi mate, do you want a race?' It was from the young guy in the back seat passenger side. I said sorry or something an he says either that 'this is a 1.6 or a 2.6 civic'. There was a young lassie in the back and she was smiling over and I said 'I think I would definately lose then'. They were all laughing and so was I. Good fun banter, nothing nasty. The lights change and we drive off at normal speed, he cant speed off as traffic in front of him thats come out from the junction, not that I think for a mo he could even if he wanted to. I had a clear road ahead so I thought sod it, give them a taste and sound of the afterburner, thats all they prob want to see anyway. So off I go and away. Good fun and maybe gave them something to talk about. Thats just what some of these young drivers want to see I reckon. Cheers

Hi folks. After consideration I will not be just binning the bits. I will hold on to them and post up a list of bits soon, so someone else can benefit, or as said above ebay them and see what happens. Thanks.

Wondered what members do with their OE parts once you have replaced them with modded parts? I have my original exhaust parts left over after modding ( twin pea-shooter backbox etc). Also panel filter, springs, few other bits. Is there any value in holding on to them?? I have noticed that some members pop up with bits and bobs for other members that they have left over lying at the back of the garage. I think thats a good thing but im limited for space, are they worth keeping or just for chucking out? Are they worth anything as scrap? I wouldnt know. I doubt I would turn my car back to standard to sell it ( I have no plans to sell ). Seems alot of hassle in doing that, my car is mapped. Any suggestions?

Hi. My alarm was going off last night bout 10pm. Sharon went out to check, alarm was going off, but no lights flashing. She checked car, no signs of interference etc The blue fob wouldnt work. The alarm stopped going off after 10 odd times, hasnt gone off since. The fob doesnt work so key is required to open the doors, the car wont start and key required to lock car again. Sharon checked the car later last night and it was unlocked. She locked it up. This morning fob still not working ( although red light does flash when fob pressed ) car not starting. The flashy alarm/light on the dash isnt flashing. Car was driven 50 odd miles on thurs night without issue and Im unaware of the car having any issues. I am unable to check the car myself. Could this be a simple fob battery issue, i.e. fob not working, so not switching off immob, therefore car not starting, but why would the alarm have gone off or is that a coincidence? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers Mark.

Thanks guys for the replys. Unfortunately I went over on my ankle in Ayr y'day a'noon. End result, torn ligaments and plaster cast from knee to toe. Happy daze. I wont be driving for a while methinks Just had to endure a pax ride home in my pride n joy being driven by a non-scoob driver, but they did alright, mostly. Cheers.
