  6. Ha ha, I thought it was the pear tree park n ride we were meeting at but I see now its the botley one So I guess we'll be at peartree at 4:10pm, but I'm not sure where the shell is at peartree?? I didnt know there was one? Do you mean the shell near the kidlington turn off on the A34? Ben
  7. Hey I didn't think I was going to be able to make this one, but its looking like I could. Would it be too late for a last minute entry?? Looks like it will be a good meet, let alone a photo shoot Chris If I can come do you want to convoy over to pear tree? Cheers Ben
  8. Oh bummer, I have two small dents in mine already, again you can't see them until you know where they are, but sadly.... I do I think you commented on some Rotas? in the hatch thread, black on a silver car, quite liked them but sound expensive. I don't really have any in mind, I've not been looking really, if I do it may lead to more purchases It'll be good to see some different wheels on cars at the hatch meet, shame you'll be away for that one Have you any in mind? Ben
  9. Sorry out for lunch that day, its the GFs mothers 60th. I'm going to the Scoobynet "hatch" meet at Litchfields on the 5th sept I'm sure anyone could come along to that if interested Any news on a mini meet this month?? Cheers Ben
  10. Hey mate, Really when was that?? Was it in reference to these photos? I only posted them here. Anyway - no they're not painted I just retouched these photos a lot so you could make out the wheel arch better as they were a bit dark and hard to see No I wouldn't waste any time or money on these, I picked one up while they were off the car at Litcho, my god they weigh a ton!! They will be the next thing to be up graded, but will have to wait a while as I have a feeling the replacements will be mucho £££ Yours still ok? I saw your post saying you had a scratch - ment to post but got way laid Cheers Ben
  11. Cheers Matty Well Cotswold seem to have a good press around here so fair enough, I've had no experience with them so cant really comment, but Litcho was great. Really friendly relaxed informative and professional. Their prices were really sensible which was a big surprise to me as I knew them for being a really high end specialist tuning outfit and so I thought they would be really pricey - but probably jusifiably. I rang my local Dealer - Adams in Aylesbury and they wanted £310 to fit my prodrive springs Litcho only wanted £95 as Iain even pointed out the car was new so would be easy to take apart with no ceased bolts etc, it was just a two hour job. I was going to do the work myself but as Iain was so open and sensible about the whole thing I gave it to him and the rest of the work too. I have to say they have restored my faith in garages and the fact they got all my work backs that up. I dont think you could do better than a trip to Litcho, they have been tuning scoobs for a long time and really know their stuff. Infact they may know even more about the sort of thing you and I want, as a scooby dealer may be more used to the maintainance side of things rather than improving/tuning. Just a thought - probably wrong tho not really sure what Cotswolds do. Also while they were working on mine I was off looking at the Nissan GTRs, Type 25s, Koenigsegg and Aston they had in Anyway thats my 2p Cheers Ben Oh and I don't think Litcho is not really anything to do with powerstation. Litcho basically used to sub out some of his spanner work to them but he has his own setup now. I personally had better advice from Litcho over powerstation on the setup of my car I know where mine will be serviced from now on
  12. I'm not surprised mate, I can barely see it myself but it is deffo lower, more so at the front than the back Anyway they are only a 10-15mm drop but the extra stiffness is excellent Coilovers - not just yet eh Ben
  13. I think they put a different valve in the pump. Actually I did mean to ask exactly how it worked but forgot I did see the pump coming off tho HTH
  14. Hi guys Well its been on the cards for a while, but I really wanted to get the Prodrive lowering springs fitted to the old girl. They have just recently come out, so it was time On scoobynet there is a Hatch thread going and we are making a trip to Litchfield on Sat 5th Sept. Iain has offered to have us over and give a discount on work booked due to the meet. So I could hardly turn down the opportunity for a 15% discount on parts and labour I thought I'd get my work carried out ahead of the meet so other people driving from further afield wouldn't have to make two trips and can get their work done on the day of the meet. Also..................I couldn't wait As Iains prices were so reasonable I also got some other work done. Infact I was going to do the work myself but with Iains sensible pricing and the discount it was hardly worth me getting my hands dirty. So first up on the list were the Prodrive springs. I've heard some good things about these and they keep my car a practical height with only a 15mm drop. I also got them to fit the rear subframe bushes that I had already purchased. Also done was the Powerflex ALK Next up was a power steerting re-valve to make the steering feel heavier. Then 4 wheel laser alignment with the new prodrive setup. Lastly I wanted to change the oil and filter for the first 1k miles - not required in the service manual but never a bad idea. They recommended Motul V300 as the best I could give it, so in it went. I had already changed the rear ARB and fitted my Whiteline strut brace that turned up last week. Well I have to say (as have others) the change is incredible, its a new car. Very tight and precise and even more enjoyable to drive. The Prodrive springs are excellent, there is no doubt that you can feel more bumps but not by much and the plus points way more than make up for it. Anyway I personally wanted it to feel harsher!! The heavier weight of the steering really make you feel more involved in the drive too. For a mere £47.5 I would say its a must do even on its own! So to sum up, just fantastic, I cant recommend Litchfield and the mods enough very happy Ben Before After Cheers Ben
