  1. Just booked ourselves into the Morefield Motel for £72 for both of us in a double room. Called and spoke to the Royal, they have 2 doubles, 16 twins, 3 singles and 3 triple rooms left, but none with a balcony or four poster so figured I would just go stay where empty-heed and big-bob are booked, seeing as we are all coming up together. ( and i reaaaaaaaaaly wanted a balcony ) Booked in for dinner at the royal with you guys though, and apparently our hotel is only a 15 min walk with lots of taxis available, we can park the cars right outside our room doors so that's good if anyone is interested here is the link: http://www.morefieldmotel.co.uk Getting excited now (obv Vicci and not Gerard, he is still scared of the internet and makes me read everything to him ) am wondering if we are all wearing hawiian gear, that would be a laugh Can't wait, Gerard is fixing the clutch this weekend as the car is starting to feel a bit sorry for itself
  2. My mum had two chihuahuas and a long eared rabbit that all lived in the house, all the time. Told her not to, thought they were going to fight, but turns out the rabbit grew rather fond of the bigger dog(not that you can get big chihuahuas ), they used to walk around the living room together. Simba died last year, within a month the rabbit had died too. Mum is convinced he was heartbroken Even our wee yorkie had no bother with the rabbit, seems like they can fit quite well into houses, depends on the dog and the rabbit though. I would suggest a puppy as it will start of similar in size to the rabbit therefore giving it more of a chance of not scaring the rabbit to death straightaway Hope you get a dog, man's best friend and all that
  3. Eh, did your turbo take you into the future again Keira? you sure you saw him this coming November?
  4. Has anyone heard of Stumbleupon yet? It's a toolbar you add and it lets you choose your interests (quite indepth categories which is good - you only get what you are interested in), then all you do is click stumble just under your address bar and it will "stumble upon" something it thinks you will like....amaaaaaaaazing!! It even has a feature allowing you to send pages you like and have stumbled upon (or any other web page for that matter) to friends also on stumble, makes life much, much more interesting www.stumbleupon.com eBay is my killer though, I could lose a week sitting on that
  5. Disgusting!!! my thoughts are with you mate, hope you catch the they deserve to be
  6. brilliant pictures there, consider me all voted up
  7. Ha, just told him of the conversation considering he just pretends he is listening when i am on here, and he snorted through his nose regarding that comparison sounds about right to me.... The wee guy next door was seriously starting to take the pi55, he knew fine well the alarm would wake the dead so decided to speed up going past it everytime, even at 1am . Your other neighbours blame us for all the noise too (keira). At least you can tell now if it burbles, it's more than likely coming to visit you , and if it sounds keech, then it's gotta be for next door....except Kenny's escort only kidding, don't tell him that! Mad as a box of frogs on crack, am still enjoying that
  8. Little ba5tewards!! ragin, eh! Any idea when the last time one of us was up there? Did Bob do a check round his and yours when he got back from Christmas? I put a tenner on the bams that go next door having something to do with it... time for security cameras, no? Did they go for any other stickers, bits of car? Gutted for you dear, I know how sentimental that was
  9. We got snowed in at our house, just as we left to head to dunoon for christmas Live near the naval bases down by helensburgh and even their M.O.D roads are bad. Stay on a huge, bendy hill, considering the scoob is off the road and I'm driving a LWB (empty and VERY light) transit, I didn't fancy my chances and stayed in beside the coal fire!! Think a few christmas deliveries to me have also been missed so people will be getting presents after christmas had great fun hitting the dog with snowballs though Hell, even my mum was out playing with her collie; used the dog's football as a base to roll the head for her snowman and the dog went up the hill, only to come charging back down and right into the 'masterpiece'. Guess she wanted her ball back Snow is great, when you don't need to be anywhere, that is
  10. the one that always goes nailing down Lover's Lane?
  11. Oh no!! Not good is your car ok? Looks not too bad, would think the scoob took the brunt of it My scoob is off the road, driving my new (empty and very light) van just now and have been snowed in over here, meant to be going to Dunoon for Christmas, but that ain't happening today The hill we live on is all fresh snow and really steep, no one has dared try and get up to the houses yet, so I'm not taking my chances trying to slide down it!! I can't even play with the subaru when I reaaaaaaly want to Hope you get your car sorted, is the scooby driver on SIDC? Car looks familiar...
  12. The blue Oz Allegeta gets my vote And I agree with getting blue graphics, I will finally be able to tell in a split second what silver wagon of yours I see takes me a minute to register, even now lol
  13. I don't think they should have the christmas number one, but it is a good tune. Fairytale of New York or Jingle bells for me, what's my mother going to say on christmas day when that is played lol
  14. I've had a few cleaning jobs in the past (obviously it's Vicci here, imagine him indoors doing some cleaning ). The last company I worked for in the summer break from uni charged the customer around £10/hour but paid us £6/hour. If you get a deep clean done on the first visit then the ones after are much quicker for the cleaner as she knows the house and what will need done. My sister has a cleaner, but she also cleans before they come round, apparently it's "embarrasing" to have someone come in and clean up "actual" dirt silly bugger... Hope you get a good cleaner, try and get someone regular so they keep on top of the hoovering, dusting picture frames etc. And make sure they clean under the bed, I always had to do that because most other cleaners would try and skive
  15. Did you get it fixed yet bob? what a pain in the a55, and I've got it aaaaall to look forward to...
  16. Gutted we missed it but so pleased with the turnout, well done to everyone involved. Just goes to show that a little off of everybody goes a long way to making children smile when they need it. Well done again, you lot would bring a tear to a glass eye! Next year, the scoob WILL be on the road for Santa Cruise and it will come with bells on and a dog dressed in a santa suit!!
  17. He he, yeah but it sounds like it's dying when you push it that much, gotta be in 2nd gear two thirds of the way up. Ridiculous just put a new engine in it, not sure if the new one is rubbish or I'm just too used to driving the impreza now....feels like you are on the slow boat to China trying to go anywhere!! The only bonus is £15 will get you a lot further in the diesel, you just have to leave half an hour earlier Btw, what happened to your poor black scoob? hope you weren't injured in the smash looks pretty gubbed!
  18. I hit a flood on the military road last week and completely spun out in the scoob, was full of the flu going into town to pick Vicci up, shouldn't have been driving (wanted to be sleeping!) thought I was going a wee detour off the edge for a bit before I caught it and came to a stop. Spun about 3 times, but the car was fine thankfully. I've crashed a few in my time but am terrified about wreckin the scoob, that's it off the road now until we get the clutch sorted and re-MOT it, so if you see a blue pug 306 passing you and waving frantically, it will be us 30mph up the Peaton Hill, god it hurts!!
  19. Sorry to hear that James, little bastewards!! Hope you catch them Had my wee pug daily driver damaged a few months ago in a village, my mate saw some neddy lassie walk up to my car and kick it with all her might. We got a call when we were on way to dunoon in the scoob, good thing or we would have been out on the hunt for her!! called the police who managed to get her sent to the childrens panel (due to witnesses)but even the nice copper told me they would just want to "support" her. We were told she is always out drinking on a friday night (that's when it happened) so needless to say we went a wee drive the next weekend. If we had found her I (female half of tingtong ) wouldn't have been responsible for my actions!! We brought that car from Germany after doing a 3000 mile road trip from my sisters; it has sentimental value like the scoob even though it's a diesel Anyway, hope you catch the little feckers, they deserve eveything they get!! Fingers crossed for you that it doesn't cost too much either...

  21. We were in mum's dark blue vectra estate heading towards helensburgh, saw you passing loch lomond. Gave you a wave but don't think you would have seen me. Weather was a bit mince! Slid out on arden roundabout, fun times
  22. Slid out at on the Arden roundabout near helensburgh yesterday in mum's vectra estate. Was going normal slow speed for the roundabout but pulled the wheel a bit harshly and away we went never even got a fright when it happened, I just fixed it and went on my way. Was about 3 seconds after i reclaimed my steering that i realised what i had done and how lucky the mazda trying to pull out in front of me was!! Gerard has decided the vectra needs new tyres went all slow the rest of the way to the airport and back again, feart of the mother in law's response if i pranged her baby

  24. I had stopped using the ferry to get to Dunoon for ages there (where the parents and loads of mates are), that is, till we got the subaru and can only put V-Power or tesco 99 in it. We stay out by Helensburgh so usually end up going to Dunoon round by road and coming back up by ferry to refuel. Seen a few kicking about that area, but they are all usually a blur i never notice untill it's too late so check your mirror if you pass me again, that's when I'll have noticed and will stick the hazards on for a "wave"
