I can see both points of view but if its your car and you bought an impreza for what they can do on B roads ect then surely a track is the best place to REALLY see what it can do in a safe environment. It's hard to put the power down safely on the road so I say track it!

Firstly, thanks for the reply. I am yet to see what the main aim for the car will be but I don't use the car for anything other than fun. It's just going to be an expensive hobby I think I do have access to another veichle hence the reason why I may be able to go for a more track like set up. I will never just make it a track car only though as that would just be too expensive and the car is worth more ect. Will speak to Geo about it and then go from there

Try and get the 20L jerry cans. Watch out for the a***holes on track but there shouldnt be too many if you are taking your RB on the hot marques night but you never know!

Sure will. Need/want to do a few upgrades in the mean time. Whitleline goodies and Ferodo pads front and back. Leave it at that and then after the track day I will see what other mods will make it handle/stop/go better! Let the mods commence!

Will be extra peice of mind aswell instead of just replacing to another 5 speed. I told you about an upgrade to 6 speed sti box You reckon you will be back on track anytime soon?

There is a fair bit to go Ross. I only bought the car on the 10th of Feb and you get a 12 month Subaru warrenty so that will run to December 09. The STi set up is Ok if it wasnt so prone to self destruct. Whiteline will be the way to go so just need to get in tough with geo or source the kit myself.

Would it be a warrenty issue if I changed to the Whiteline kit consisting of ARB front and rear, Whiteline drop links and Whiteline anit-lift kit if I needed my shocks replaced? I am looking into coilovers also in the form of Tein as I will be tracking the car at some point, hopefully for the June SIDC trackday. Another point if I needed something else done under warrenty would this be affected due to having non standard suspension? (sorry guys im still learning! )

Don't want to hijack this thread but what is the most advisable upgrades for a blob. I'm looking at front and rear Whiteline ARB and drop links and anti lift kit...will this suffice?
