  1. I'll add you to the ever-growing list then
  2. that sounds the best plan to me I'm up for a convoy south, so count me in. Are we getting some event stickers sorted out this time round? I missed the last one
  3. aha, ideal matey I'm back a week today so keep me posted
  4. ah, the Fusion... that explains that then! Driven one once and it is a slightly mental bit of kit, verging on too quick for road use. I hit a tiny pebble and slid about 100 foot on it's roof I had a Menace for a while, which has basically the same running gear but in a buggy chassis. Every time it changed gear it popped a monster wheelie! I run this instead now, much more reiable and dare I say it more useable
  5. I'm going to need a bigger garage than house at this rate... and then a huge driveway for everything else Don't suppose anyone knows of decent lock-up facilities in the Central belt? There is 100% no way it would fit at my house and I don't fancy leaving it on the street. Some swine snapped the wing mirror off my Defender the other week!
  6. box siad that did it? My £600 race car only just does that
  7. Well that's me off the list now....booo! Sod them all, I'll just get a Westfield instead.... oh that's right I've no where to put my fleet as it is! Damn having such a stupid small street
  8. been looking at getting that one myself and modifying to look like my RB320, as it's already quite close I'm not got many static kits, but I've got about 80 Tamiya RC cars, 6 of them (soon to be 7 as there's another in the post!) Imprezas. but these two are my current favourites. An RB5 replica and a tribute to Colin McRae. The one in the post will be another Hawk Eye done up like my RB320
  9. they might have been 1:43 then EDIT yes it is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Auto-Art-Subaru-Impr...A1%7C240%3A1318
  10. More than my life (and sanity) if worth I'm afraid I've learned my lesson I just won't tell her next time
  11. Those Autoart ones are nice. Seen them cheap on ebay so think I'll be investing in some
  12. no, but I want one! Where did you get it?
  13. tried that, she wasn't buying it My argument is that everyone is going the same way
  14. I still go up then if I'm about, and a few of the old crew are still about but not nearly as much. I think most of them grew out of it
  15. I know if I don't do it I'll regret it... but then again at £800 for a set of tyres I might well regret that too!
  16. throwing something totally random into the mix here, how about the new Merc SLK? Looks a bit like a shrunken Mclaren and has fantastic handling - but still with a posh badge sounds much nicer too
  17. Well it's game over for this idea Mentioned it to my girlfriend earlier and she went nuts made the mistake of buying gerry cans on ebay, my dad somehow got sent the invoice for them so he then went nuts It's not been a good day
  18. It certainly sounded the same, but from memory it was alot later on than the dates you mention. I think he has brought it forward a bit, as you say mobile phones weren't really popular around my way until I was almost out of high school, and even then text messaging was later again. I thought it was starting to sound more like the early 2000's in parts I hope there is a movie, and by the sounds of things it will be in Falkirk. I've got my name down to be an extra too
  19. Cheers buddy, think I'll invest in some of those too Yeah that's the one, Paul is a good mate. I've been to a couple in the past but as I said not actually been on the track driving for over 2 years £65 for a 2 hour open pit lane Yeah you can get onto the pit wall for free... last time passengers were free too. Not got times yet but I'll stick them up soon as I do
  20. early teens somewhere... I was 16 in 2001 so about there The joys of being tall and having older mates
  21. It's being run through a friend who has a couple of race cars that do alot of testing up there, so they get to have a few track nights just for them. There's one more or less every month I think Its all invite only so it keeps the riff raff out
  22. That is a shame dude. Well I'm telling the other half just the once to see what it's like.... but you never know She's still not the slightest bit impressed that I want to risk it on the track... but it can't be any worse than the night I told her how much the RB cost I got away with it last time because I sold the ZR 2 weeks after it was on haha
  23. hahaha Not fancy coming matey? Still some spaces I think
  24. cheers for all that Scotty what do you recon is the best tyre pressure to start off on then? I'm sure I set my Parada's at about 28psi last time out... but that was with 1/3 the power I've got a Scangauge that I can bolt on for the night.... so that will be on hand to keep an eye on the temps
  25. They have been in touch with the Falkirk Cruise team about it, but it's all very vauge at the moment I may well have been involved in that if we hadn't given a very very drunk mate a lift home after riding a shopping trolley through the side of a bus shelter Luckily we just caught the aftermath and the chaos trying to clear up before the cops showed up The same guy spun off Lathallan roundabout about a week later after racing along the M9 Them were the days
