Does a STi TMIC make any difference over a standard one like on my MY00 Uk turbo? And....is there meant to be a cat on the Up-pipe to the turbo? Not sure if mine has one

When I bought my car, it had a 3" de-cat exhaust, from Downpipe back. Since then I fitted a 2.5" exhaust and it's made it soo much better. 3" with both de-cats is far too much for my non-remapped UK turbo, ruins the drive of the car in my opinion.

Maybe it doesnt have one? The only reason I ask is because the new Cat I bought had a hole for it. Will just put a bolt in it if my MY00 doesnt have one!

Ive just put a Cat back on my MY00 for next months MOT and I cant find the Temp Sensor. The De-Cat didnt have a plug-hole for it so it must have been removed or stashed somewhere underneath?? Can some one shed light on where it comes from? Cheers! Ryan.

I basically went to the Falklands for 4 months to save cash for my Impreza (Finance/Loans = bad idea), so i would be devastated if some numpty plowed into the back of me un-insured! Wagon-mark - My insurance is like at the moment. But not quite as high.

It pisses me off because I'm a younger driver paying through my nose because of them. I can only just get insured because I'm 21, when I tired last year I got turned down by pretty much every insurance company in the UK.

Havent met anything in the Impreza, only owned it a few months and dont drive it everyday. Actually saying that, a Clio Cup wasnt too bad, wasnt as fast. Worst - In my old Escort GTi, had to rag the tits off it to keep up with a new Fiat Panda 100hp Sport thingi. Gave me a very good run for my money!!
