  1. Whilst ive got my engine out planning on painting the block and manifold to tidy it up a bit, whats best stuff to use and is there any guides for doing this? cheers
  2. Alright folks, couple of quick questions, Will all EJ20 blocks bolt on fine to v3/4 heads? Also whats preventing me using a different engine (ie v1/2/5/6) with my current ecu which is v3/v4? would i need to replace full loom or would i be able to swap the manifolds over? Just trying to figure out options available before i take my engine out following head gasket failure. Also i had slight piston slap from engine due to being a 1998, how is this normally rectified?

  4. Ive managed 340 out of mine full to empty uk spec with full decat exhaust normally get around 40-50 miles to a tenner day to day driving not sure what this works out at mpg wise
  5. i use around 300/350 quid a month on fuel depending on how much i use it outside of going to work and back... but at end of day i knew it was never going to be cheap

  7. had this experience before aswell, spotted an old mk3 supra turbo down birmingham spoke to the guy asked if any faults said slight surface rust but runs perfect, got down there the paintwork was mega dodgy and signs head gasket was on its road out .... told the guy where to go and came home out of pocket and without my new car

  9. Looking do a build for around 350 bhp but unsure of condition of my current block so was thinking about building replacement out of car before i take my current block out
  10. What are the differences between the v1 and v6 blocks, i currently have a v4 but wondering what would prevent me fitting a different block with a v4 ecu. Cheers
  11. Considering a build on my 98 uk turbo as mileage is around 135k and suffers piston slap badly when cold, currently have a 3" full system decat exhaust other than that standard. Ideally looking for 350/400bhp that is reliable but will have second car as a runabout. Looking for advice as to best build that will get this result, was looking at replacing pistons,rods,bearings, uprated oil pump, injectors, walbro, bigger injectors initially but recently have been considering sti heads but unsure if these would be of much benefit?   13. Charlie i got Vpower from the Shell next to Airdrie town hall if thats the one your talking about a few weeks back, was only on a couple of pumps tho im sure and not every one
  14. I recently got 24mm rear fitted when needed to replace it with standard front and dont find any issues with it

  22. Andy your impreza was insane, seen a good few runs and could see you seemed to have an issue with 3rd, shame your good run didnt get logged. Well in for winning overall tho!!
  23. Was up aswell, timing fault explains why i only had 2 runs logged despite running 3. Best time was a 14.042 which i was more than happy with as only a uk2000 standard bar decat/exhaust and only running 9psi Was the blue classic with black sti6 rear spoiler
