Was a nice day yesterday so gave the scooby a quick wash and took a few snaps. Far from perfect example but got it in a straight swap for a Saxo VTS so not complaining. Has the rear arch issue which will hopefully be getting sorted within the next few weeks and depending on work situation rear spoiler painted to match car, if not standard low level spoiler refitted also looking to get clear front indicators as previous owner has smoked the standard indicators. Few other wee niggles still to be sorted then it shall be heading for circa 300bhp hopefully all going to plan.

Does anyone know the best place to get the metal water pipe that runs from back of block on top to behind the cam pulleys? For a classic shape EJ20N engine Thanks Gaz

Following something my mate who just bought an impreza and from one of the spotted threads posted today made me wonder. Who all waves/flashes headlights at fellow Scooby drivers? Is it just for similar models ie newage? turbo versions? any version? what you do to acknoledge a fellow owner?

Managed to get one from local parts place, to find out that the place that we ordered sensor from hadnt even bothered ordering the part from their supplier

I know the holes for the Sti6 and standard uk spoiler i got were both the same mate so would imagine it would be a standard fitment if oem spoilers

Spark plugs and gubbed solenoid so now running boost controller and gave it a service

Sorted the boost problem yet mate? Mines is finally boosting properly, its like a totally different car now. Anyway cars looking nice n shiney!!!

That was the name i couldnt remember, someone had mentioned it before and couldnt for the life of me remember what it was. Next question do most motor factors stock this?

Alright folks Well as part of my servicing for the impreza im going to have to replace my rocker gaskets, now the quick question i have is should i use gasket sealer when refitting the new gasket/cover and if so what is the recommended sealant? Cheers Gaz

Roads are a joke, i really wouldnt mind paying so much in road tax if the roads were actually kept in a good condition. If we arent keeping our eyes on the speedo so we dont go over the speed limits with more and more speed camera units setup then its watching right in front of you to see if there are any potholes needing to be avoided ... hardly good for hazard awareness

Not sure bud, hence the q lol Seen a few advertised and as im giving the car a service in next week or so thought id find out at same time

Ok decided to get a manual boost controller like: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=370163879058 Fitted it this more, took it for a small test drive to make sure everything was set ok but everytime i reach 9/10 psi i seem to be hitting fuel cut and it seems hesitant at times too once at this region, most it went to was 12 psi but this was hesitantly. Any ideas what may be causing this? Have boost solenoid still connected electrically but not piped up to actuator/turbo Cheers Gaz

I thought it was weird myself, have changed a fair few struts in the past but the first time ive ever heard of something daft like this. Just couldnt be ar*ed with the wheel off jacked up then check to find out it may have been right. lol

Alright guys was speaking to someone with an Impreza today that advised me that when im going to be replacing my struts that the brake flexi has to be disconnected in order to replace the strut unit due to the setup of the mounting of the flexi on the strut? Can anyone confirm this is right? Seems a bit f**ked up imo but thought id check before i start stripping half the car down to get a wee surprise

Might try pop up to Hypertech on Sat then if they are open? Wont be looking to get the parts for a few weeks but like to have things planned for purchase long before the wages are there for them lol

Alright guys, Things are starting to take shape with the plans i have for my Impreza and will soon be fitting my coilovers and looking into uprating the ARBs, droplinks etc. What does everyone have? how do you rate the parts and finally where is the cheapest sources of parts? Cheers Gaz

ive been looking into these too, with the boost controller am i right in thinking this elimates the factory boost solenoid?

Couldnt find a pipe i could connect between actuator and turbo. Check cycle and its clicking away nice and fast, quite loud too. Spare actuator fitted, no more rattling plugged back in and 7psi again

thought it was indicating the actuator at fault so stopped there lol, will check the solenoid etc just now
