Even after all the Cosworth shenanigans i would still prefer a Litchfield spec car over anything IM or the subaru dealer network can provide
JDM all the way for me
And who wouldn't?! Pity the JDM and Litchfield specimens cost SO much more than the type UK cars
-
What colour is your Hawkeye, BTW? I often pass through Allo-hathnx for the replies, glad I aint the only 1, car is still under warranty so will try to get it to get looked at -
I don't understand why you are all making such a fuss, it's the same system as is used in many modern cars - even Toyota use it, and they sell millions of cars every year
Oh oh...
-
I thought that the rear struts became 'inverted' after the late Blobs?
I assume there's more to this than just the same struts turned upside-down, but I could be wrong...
-
'STI' and 'Cosworth' on the same tailgate sounds good to me
-
My MY06 STI is just the same...
...always considered it a 'feature' of the drive-by-wire accelerator. More or less gotten used to it, but it can make the car a little tricky to drive in stop-start traffic (which I avoid anyway).
Perhaps the action is adjustable, though? Be interested to hear what the dealer has to say.

Fairly sure that was FrankSTI (aka Mark).

i am so missing not having my car
every time i am WALKING and a hear the roar of a scoobie my heart sinks.

.

think ill go down to my local BP garage and give them some
money as with me being off the road i think there making some job cuts
any pics or vids would be appriciated to get me over the difficult time in my life
The way you formatted that Frank, I was half-expecting it to rhyme...
"Ode to a Scooby"
Just kidding mate - hope you're back in bees-knees soon

Normally the bottom of the hill is the best place to start.
Beat me to it!
-
some nice person has fitted the plate by means of 'lining it up straight' and then just blasting 2 self tappers through the plate into the bumper behind and not even bothering to take the 40 secs required to line up the existing holes & drill correctly.
BUTCHERS!
-
'Min' is where it should sit when the car is cold - you might expect it to read higher when the car is warm.
-
Price does seem conspicuously low... book says £5K+ for a private sale...
-
Not a fan of the new rims, but your hatch looks great in black
-
Looks fantastic - late Blob STIs and Hawk STIs are where it's at, IMO
P.S. Is that a personalised reg?
-
nice m8 we must have pics
Or at least some clues as to what you've bought! (if it's not the one quoted above).

Take the trousers off her and put them back on yourself and tell her you are buying a new car.
Gauntlet laid squarely down

Now, I like to just say a fraction of the cost. Keeps both parties happy
That's true - if all else fails, nothing wrong with a wee white lie eh?
...as long as it's not the one that (apparently) starts with "oops, sorry love, it just slipped"...
-
FWIW, I reckon you need to turn that 'starting a family' argument around, maybe take a wee bit more of a positive approach this time, e.g. "this is something I'd like to get out of my system, it'll help me settle down and I'll feel more ready to start a family". And when finances are the main concern, I find it helps to put all the numbers into a spreadsheet (or at least on paper), so that I can prove to the missus (and myself!) that the purchase I'm proposing is in fact affordable
You could maybe even take her out somewhere nice for a meal before Sunday and talk it over...? Then if you're not wearing curry/chow mein/spaghetti by the time the bill arrives, you could be onto a winner
Anyway, best of luck mate. Have patience - you know burds, sometimes they just like to test us by making these things difficult, eh?
-
Actually looks quite tidy
...and I'm a happily married man!
OK... I'm a married man
-
Been offered a mint hawkeye, any suggestions on how to talk round a very reluctant wife ??

Hello and welcome, Terry

For the Hawk-eye, I'm 99% sure, the STi and WRX scoops are the same size. So there isn't a bigger scoop available.
This is correct.
(But I too have been on the sherbet
).
