  2. alright My ra is one of the early ones with the 5 injectors i'm just taking it for granted that the 5 of them will need changed i've had a look at some of the websites but it looks as if they only come in sets of 4. hi kenny not been to bad not seen you about since you had your accident have you got it fixed yet. cheers steve
  3. Hi Where can i get a set of 5 550cc injectors for a 1995 sti ra and a front mount intercooler planning some mods cheers steve
  4. hi cal My car is a 95 imported ra it only has one hole on either side of the boot so i was thinking of maybe drilling another 3 or 4 holes on the boot which will line up with the bolts on the new spoiler and sealing it with some silicone Cheers steve
  5. Alright Got a v6 spoiler today for my classic and the original spoiler is only held on by 2 bolts. Would i be better to drill a few more holes to secure it to the boot as there are about 6 holes on the spoiler for bolting it on cheers steve
  6. Hi grant The ferry which runs from newcastle to ijmuiden is DFDS seaways and if memory serves me correct it leaves about 5 or 6 and gets into ijmuiden about 9 in the morning. Prices for a return are about £300 for 2 people and a car with an inside cabin. Hull to zeebrugge is about £230 for 2 people and 1 car with a cabin Not sure if the roysth ferry might be up and running again as i think there are some companies interested in taking it on again now that the EU is providing grants for the sailing. Keep in touch mate about it as i'd definately be up for it. cheers steve
  7. Hi Grant interested in this trip to the ring in may as me and the misses have a baby due in june so it would be a good blow out before the big day and it would also depend on getting the holidays from work but it shouldn't be a problem. Used the newcastle to ijmuiden boat alot in my last job it's a good boat and as cal say's it'll cut out alot of driving and you'll miss the traffic at brussells which for most of the day is very slow moving.. cheers steve
  8. cheers for that had my uncle up today for some measurements so hopefully we'll have something soon he was talking about making a cone with some holes in it for when it's idling so it's still getting air. Will post up some pictures off the finished article cheers steve
  9. Hi Recently had my car at hypertech and duncan mentioned that since it has an induction kit it would be better with a heat shield and removing the box out of the wing for some cold air to get in. I've seen plenty of hose kits but can't seem to find any decent heat shields where can you pick these up from or even get a picture of one and i can get one made through a relative? cheers steve
  10. hi just got my v5 log book in for my 1995 imported tyre ra and noticed next to the co2 it is blank. How does this go with the road tax and also the car has a full decat system how will this effect the mot emissions test and a roadside test or spot check Cheers steve
  11. Yeah the car has been mapped for the decat and uk fuel, there is a big difference between this and my bugeye even although my bugeye was kicking out about 265bhp. it's 122000km's which is about 75000miles The car is really good to drive but trying to get used to the DCCD settings although i'm glad i went ahead with the swap cheers steve
  12. Hi After having my 02 bugeye WRX for a year i decided to try and get a classic impreza as these had grown on me for the last few months. So i kept an eye on pistonheads for swaps and tried to sell it and got some dealers advice from some local garages to find out that my bugeye wasn't really worth that much! I was offered a few UK 2000 Turbos but was looking for something alittle different. I was offered a 1995 import sti type ra with some mods which i considered and got plenty of pictures from the seller and asked the wife's opinion for a full 2 seconds after which i had to leave as an ear bashing was coming!!!! Last wednesday i made my way down south to check the car out and possibly do the deal which i ended up doing. Thought i'd post some pictures of the car and get some reaction on it and to see if it was worth swapping for a 02 bugeye WRX i'm relatively new on here so hello everyone. Plus i could be doing with some info on the DCCD (what settings to use) Got some plans for it already but it has had alot of work done to it but first i'll get it on a dyno and get a Bhp figure. cheers steve
  13. not drove the ra yet mate but it is the light weight one with the fifth injector so i think it is one of the first ra's.
  14. currently have a 52 plate wrx with the usual mod's and have been offered a swap with a w reg ra import which has had alot of work done to it and is pushing out near on 340 bhp. It has had about 4500 spent on it and is in mint condition. Are these 2 cars roughly valued at the same price and would i be better keeping my wrx and upgrade this cheers steve
  15. The other stuff never worked welsho i've got some AG tar remover i'll give that a go if it doesn't work i'll run it down to the local spray painter and see what he say's cheers steve
  16. Recently had a dodgy set of pads on my car I only got about 5000 miles out of them. they passed a mot last tuesday and had to replace them and the discs this week. I have some brake dust on my doors anyone recommend anything to remove this?? cheers steve
  17. i've got some pictures although i'm still trying to work out how to upload them will try and do it tomorrow. forgot to say that the pictures were taken by my 5 year old nephew but some of them are good cheers steve
  18. just a last shout to see if anyone is wanting these parts, free to anyone who wants them starting to get in the way sitting in the garage so will be putting them in a skip shortly cheers steve
  19. the kain car garage in bathgate is selling a 56 WRX in the blue for 11500 if your handy to it. It looks a cracking car seen it a few times sitting in the forecourt when i've been heading through bathgate on the bike matey. It's only been on sale for a few weeks
  20. i'm insured with CIS for 600 with an excess of only 100 for my 52 plate bugeye WRX and that was me claiming last year for 2500 when a badger ran out in front of me and done mega damage to my mondeo st.
  21. looks good mate, a quick question about the silver grilles where did you get them?? cheers steve
  22. they've now dropped theirs by 4p mate and if you have 5p off voucher then it's good times!! not bad for one day
  23. heading through to hypertech on thursday lunchtime for some fast road settings after fitting tein coilovers and new tyres what a difference in the car after having a bust shock for a while. thats the last off the mods for the now after the decat and remap the misses is having no more off it although what she doesn't know won't hurt her
  24. not to clued up on porsche's so not sure if there are any 4x4 coupe's i had an old guy overtake me the other week when i was in my truck, in his new boxster which must have been rear wheel drive and hit some standing water on the motorway he lost hit and shot across the front off me and up the banking and rolled it a few times. he walked away from it with a broken arm i couldn't believe it when i stopped. A 4 wheel drive would give you some piece of mind and some security for your misses m8 given our wonderful summer we're having
