  1. ive tried to contact the last owner of my Impreza just to ask about the new engine that has been fitted and any other thing's he might like to tell me? what i have and know so far is ... my car came from Banff, ive got a some bill's for work carried out on my car from "Wallace Performance" (Bridge of Don) and a power flow centre in Turriff. i bought my car from a private trader in Beith who got the car (via a buisness set-up) from a performance centre called sunny hill car's ive tried to get in touch with the last owner, he's at sea at the moment and he'll be home next week (i have his name and addy) what do you think, is it a good or bad thing finding out about your car's past?
  2. i just collected my Impreza's wheel's yesterday from Wullie @ Chameleon Powder Coaters, they look "MINT" ive knowin "Wee Wullie" (& Allan) for quite some time and this is the first time he has done any work for me and i was blow'n away with the finish, i'll post up some pic's once ive taken them who else has had some powder coating done and then started looking at other part's and thinking "your next!" i'm thinking of a few small under bonnet part's next
  3. tonight my car look's like this took my wheels of and delivered them to my mate in Chameleon Powder Coater's tonight, i'm getting them re-done in Gold with a metal flake and clear coat. i was sick of folk saying "Ian, your car is mint mate .. but them wheel's could be better" this was the worst wheel should have them back for thursday
  4. i'm just back from Erskine my local ish V-power stockist, it's a 12 mile round trip, it was full of folk filling up, today in Dumbarton the 2 local Garages were constantly busy and in Helensburgh about 4pm ish the garage had a big sign up saying "Sorry No Unleaded" it's a bit mental the way folk are panic buying, according to media report's there is more than enough fuel in the UK to keep Scotland topped up while the shut down & strike take place out of intrest do imprezas run ok on BP ultimate?
  5. ive ordered a set of chrome/amber bulb's, the light's came with the amber coloured bulb's yip it is a Halford's "pocket turbo timer" ive a few mate's who have the same one and they've had no prob's with them .. why have you heard anything about them? Halford's have stopped stocking it now as they are pushing the new remote controlled Rip speed one? this one mine was the last available one in Scotland, had to get it sent from Stirling shop to my local and as it was end of stock i got it for half price
  6. all is good as i got a CAT 1 Sigma installed and called them to change the detail's .. they still never made any comment about it not having one in the first place?? the company A-Plan put me on to are called Motor Direct
  7. gave the car a wee polish yesterday and fitted new clear front & side repeaters and today i fitted a Turbo-Timer
  8. added my first mod to my Impreza today, clear front and side repeater's i'll post a pic tomorrow but i must say it look's far cleaner getting shot of the amber item's yesterday i was asked by another Impreza owner if my car had a private plate on it as it is far to clean to be a 1994 car!
  9. i must admit, i was never a fan of the larger bonnet scoop & intake vent's .. but on your car they look very smart credit to ya fella that's a tidy looking machine you have
  10. i payed 1:16 for V-power then went back 2 day's later and payed 1:18.9 i'm like a few other's, i don't realy care hom many mpg i get i just hate the rip-of price's! for £30 of fuel i got 130 ish mile's ..mostly town driving out of intrest how do your/our car's run on supreme and Tesco 99? ive been told to try and stick to V-Power

  12. my RA gold on white getting mine recoated soon, keeping them gold but with a silver metal flake added

  14. thank's for the welcome guy's and the nice comment's towards my car, all i want to do to it is De-Amber the light's, turbo timer and maybe get the alloy's powder coated gold again (or is it Brass?) apart from that, that's it i must be honest i had my doubt's about scoob's but now i own one i just can't stop smile'n i should have got one age's ago! looking forward to attending a meet, so i can feast my eye's

  16. hi Ian, no prob's mate .. it's the least i can do and thank's again mate for coming along i'd have been lost if it were not for the help you guy's gave me. fitted a full set of pad's today ... ask your dad how the brake's felt before i fitted them one front slider had seized but i soon got it sliding again, one front pad was in "3 bits!" lol what a difference the brakes are now getting that other thing fitted tomorrow morning also got clear front and side repeaters on there way as well as a turbo timer .. ive drove it about 90 mile's and i think ive only heard the stereo for about 5 mile's of the 90, you just can't get bored of the rumble and the PtissssssssssssssssH!!!!!!!!! PS, i used A-Plan, £40 cheaper than my 5 series BMW was and they never even asked if it was alarmed i'll catch you one night this week and you can have a shot .... yer auld-man had a wee shot yesterday he reconned it was pretty tight

  18. can someone point me to finding out the spec's of my 1994 "RA" ie: power, spec's etc also my car has been fitted with elec-window's & A/C .. are these standard part's? thank's guy's

Hi Guy's, just thought i'd make my first post as a newbie i'm from West Dumbartonshire area ive just bought my first ever turbo'd car, a white RA. sold my modded E39 BMW to make the move. gotta say i'm enjoying the RA more and more every time i drive it. hope to attend some future meet's and get to know people and learn as much as posable about these crackin car's, in the mean time i'll lurk about the forum, taking in as much technical stuff as i can? here is my car, bought it last wedensday night with the help of two other impreza owners (cheer's again guy's) drive's "spot on" .. ive a lot to learn with both working on it and driving it, not that i'm a bit mad in a car just got to learn that i don't have to break anymore for corner's see ya'll about
