"you will always stop what you are doing when you hear a scooby burble approaching... firstly to check its not your car but then just to check it out and listen to it going by" That is so fecking true
-
Does anyone know if Andy is away at the moment ? Ive been trying for nearly 2 weeks now. Not a word back from him.

Stunning !! Is it just me, but in pic 1. Do you think the car battery looks like a giant lego block

Cheers David, I will speak to local metal fabricator in the morning
-
David, By the sounds of it you might be describing something that looks like the kartboy brackets, am I correct in thinking this ?
-
Im starting to think the brackets are for a bugeye bumper, as they are a lot deeper. I will get another pic of the front, when the rain stops again. Taking pics between the showers
-
Ignore the wiring, its a test fit.

Right fitted these lights this morning in the p***ing rain. Something looks fecked up with them, they stick out by bloody miles. I had to pack the drivers side out by 15mm to straighten them up as they pointed inwards. Anyone got any ideas whats going on with these ? On the add they stated it was "Subaru impreza classic and bug eye driving lamps" with the following pic

I picked up a set of Cibie's from ebay for £30. A couple of quick questions, how do I wire them up and how do I adjust the spotlights. On the adjustment side of things, ok I know how to adjust up and down but left and right ? Am I correct in thinking putting washers behind the mounting bracket to adjust left to right. Also is this correct for the relay: TERMINAL 86 TO EARTH POINT OR BACK TO NEGITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 85 TO MAIN BEAM WIRE TERMINAL 87 TO EACH SPOTLIGHT TERMINAL 30 TO POSITIVE BATTERY

If your MAF housing is 80mm then the Z32 will fit straight on, if its 90mm then the Q45 will fit straight on. Both need a loom modification and a remap. They are much more reliable and good for high bhp. The wiring is straight forward. Z32 connector has 6 pins labelled A to F: A - Not connected B - MAF Output Signal C - Gnd D - Gnd E - +12V F - Not connected Subaru 92-96 MAF Connector has 5 pins: 1 - +12V 2 - Gnd 3 - Sensor Gnd 4 - MAF Signal 5 - Not connected just make sure you keep the gnds separate. For the Q45 http://bbs.22b.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?...t=001051#000000 If memory is correct early map sensor is up to 1.1bar and later is 1.4 bar For the map sensor http://bbs.scoobynet.com/general-technical...-me-please.html
-
Dont you mean a 97>00 map sensor or the Nissan MAF upgrade ? If it is one of them, then its a remap. Ive got both those fitted on mine and remapped by Andy F.

Help Me Stop The Vandalism - Wiring Question
phil_g replied to mystery machine's topic in Scottish Scoobies
How about a car cover, thats what ive ended up doing as a temp job. Its not stopping them staying off my car, but its stopped the damage. Ive looked into water sprinkler systems, but its needs to be a motion sensor one. The motion flood lights, the sonic repellent. I got the car cover from ebay, its one of those universal jobs made of cheap thin material. If it works well, I will splash out on a better one. -
For nearly 4 months now, Ive had cat problems in my garden and on my car. Its got to the stage Ive to check my garden everyday now for dead mice or ripped apart birds. To top it of the garden its getting cat $hite in it everyday and stinks of cats piss. Its a daily routine ive to powerwash everything to get rid of the smell. Thats just the garden, the car the cats walk over the roof, sit on the bonnet or the rear spoiler. Ive complained to owners but they dont give a crap. Ive tried all the old wives tales to keep them out, Ive had pest control over, bought that electronic device to scare them off. Nothing works. To top it off, for the last several weeks ive not had a nights good sleep, as these cats are left out at night to roam free. Where do the end up ? In my garden always fighting amongst themselves. Its got to the stage im sick and tired of these pests. Yes I fecking hate cats, my kids cant play in there own garden cause of the $hite and piss the cats leave behind Only last week my little one came in howling as she came across a dead bird in the garden that was ripped apart. The kids sand pit in the back garden is a right off, why ? cause the cats decided to use it as a litter tray rant over
