Why? Do subaru discs and pads tend to last well? Clearly, driving and mileage will vary, but my 2006 STi has just turned 20k miles and my thoughts are turning to brakes...!!!
-
This sounds interesting!! Have you bought an exciting "day to day" car to replace the bug?
-
I've had mine serviced at Nobles since i got it and had a few warranty issues sorted without problem. Not exactly cheap, but what dealer is nowadays??
-
As long as removing the bumper doesn't expose sharp edges, you can drive without it legally.

Stolen Silver Wrx - N898 Als - Scottish Borders
bigbird replied to briforbes's topic in Scottish Scoobies
If it makes you feel any better (which i doubt....) you may be re-assured to know the car still gets circulated across the force area on all Police channels at least twice a day. Howver, at the moment, there are 6 outstanding stolen imprezas that i know of, in and around the Edinburgh area, all between N and P plates. Fingers crossed it turns up. -
Yep, top garage. I had mine in for it's first MOT, a 3 year service and a few warranty complaints. MOT'd, serviced and fixed without issue and what i thought was a fair price. Excellent service.

!!!!! Think i'd buy better aftermarket jobs and have a crack at fitting them myself. In fact, when mine are goosed, thats just what i'll do!!
-
What price did they quote you?
-
Good, but remember, the cheapest quote isn't always the best quote.......
-
It all depends on where you stay, where the car is kept, points on licence etc, so no two quotes will really be the same. However... 35 year old, unlimited mileage, mods declared, Edinburgh postcode and admiral charge me a smidgen over £300 a year, fully comp and protected.

Very good, but these videos don't work i'm afraid. Watch all those clips and the most honest and true part is that these accidents happen to everyone and anyone, not just the stereotypical " boy-racers", car thieves and mindless idiots. It can happen to me, you or anyone else on this forum- and not just at speed on a good old B road thrash either. Having dealt with well over 200 fatal road accidents, i can honestly say the majority were caused by a momentary lapse in concentration or a failure to truly appreciate the drivers own ability. And thats where people fall down- they think theyr'e invincible behind the wheel and sooner or later, something like the above will happen. As long as there's car's on the road, people will make mistakes and people will die.

I'm pretty sure i saw you today on the M9, around 3pm ish? I was heading south in a VXR estate and saw the car with the red bit in the scoop- wondered what the hell it was..... It did look like you were enjoying the car too....
-
I've been with Admiral for a few years now- no-one can beat them..... I'm 34 and pay £304 a year, fully comp, for my 2006 STi PPP.
-
Oh yeah...........

I don't know where in Scotland you are, but i used a company called "ding-goes" (find them on google) but they only cover the central belt, IIRC. Very good service- £30 for 3 dents in a wing- and you'd never guess the car had been dented.

I'd be up for this- sounds great! Although i managed to escape Kelso after 20 years to move to Edinburgh, i still have family down there, so can i come?!! 1. Cruz104 2. BigBird 3 4 5

I feel for you, but from a buyers point of view, it's great! I got a great deal on my 2006 STi PPP back in March- if i'd held off a few more months, i could have got an ever better deal, but thats the markets for you!
-
Very nice. Where did you get the scooby model cars without WRC graphics????
-
Not sure about ESSO, but shell have dropped prices for 95 RON to 102 here, which makes VPOWER 111.
-
I think it's stunning and your a very lucky bloke!

There has been a stated case through the court system whereby an employer made constant and persistent calls to his employee. The employee argued in court but still lost and was given 3 points and £60 fine, however, the court stated that the employer has a DUTY OF CARE under the health and safety guidelines to either not call if their staff are driving, or provide a hands free kit and a suitable phone to enable them to take the call. If they don't, they are leaving themselves open to a civil case, as described above.

Mmm, not unless you've heard something i've not. It's due at Fettes on a certain date for a certain time, then onward to Northumberland. In it's time at Fettes, it's hopefully going to be used on a driving course i'm instructing (for assesment purposes, you understand....).

It's a national demonstrator- it's doing the rounds across all Road Policing units in Scotland.

Hello and welcome. Sounds like a rare car you've found.
