  1. I need a spot of help. ive discovered a loose hose round the back of my classics phase 2 manifold and dont have a clue where its supposed to go. the offending item is shown below. whats the name of sensor and where is the hose supposed to be connected to? thanks.

  2. as above flaking paint on manifold means nothing. my advise, have a look at one in for sale section here. it has the bits done that you would need to get done already, ie mapping for uk fuel etc. bargain for whats been spent.

  3. i think some newage imports only came with 2 pots. something to do with them being minimally built as they were to be stripped later for rallying.

op hasnt given any info so its impossible to know.

a picture even without wheels off will tell instantly.

  4. ive rolled a classic with quite a few revolutions down a hill and walked away without even a scratch, they are built solidly despite the low weight. am sure some of the modern test are more for pedestrians saftey if you hit them.

theres quite a few others on here that have had similar experience and hence why they went straight out and bought another classic.

  5. i used wheelcarrier earlier last week, think they are just a broker, as it was actually dhl that did delivery. 27 pound for 4 wheels and tyres. you might well get cheaper elsewhere but i never bothered looking around cause at least they never included ab postcodes as highland deliveries, for which there are extra costs.

  6. get it sniff tested that will tell you one way or the other.

if its relatively minor phone the boy that wanted it and see if hes still needing it.

the dash temp gauge is crap and stays fairly linear over a large temp range. surprised the cels on though. our legacy split a metal pipe under manifold the other week and still got it home from inverurie, no cel. did change the oil as well just incase it got heated up a bit.

    lol at wuz

  8. the problem is uk classics are getting old and if they havent been looked after bodywork wise, since new, then they are starting to show it now. this is what costs the money to put right.

the likes of yer shocks, bearings etc are just wear and tear items that need replaced after a certain usage which is fair enough. fit the parts your self and they cost pennies to replace.

im going to be selling my uk too, mechanically its fine, but ive already replaced one rear arch (cost a fair bit) and given what the cars book value is now it wont be economical to do more bodywork if any other issues arise further down the line. once any panels have been repaired they wont last as long as clean looked after originals IMHO.

  9. you need to get a proper seal kit min. suprised at such a young car needing them done but then again ive seen your driving.

oh aye there should be two copper washers one either side of banjo fitting too.

i would have replaced the seals to you if you wanted but its a fair distance awa.

    edit:

    your needing these:

    rear brembo seals
