  2. btw car tax stamps are no longer available, had a look on the post office web site.
  3. no mine will be deffo going im affraid at some point soon,as ive said in another thread i just cant justify owning an running this car anymore, the costs are/have got way out of hand.soon what with road tax and insurance im looking at near on a grand before the car turns a wheel.really, really p***ed with this country and im going to say it even if it offends some people but the only way to get on in this country is if your an immigrant or likewise, great britain once maybe but not anymore its gone down the toilet and gets worse by the week.rant over.
  4. they'll never scrap the road tax and put it on petrol, this way you get screwed twice with both road tax and petrol.pretty soon no one will be able to afford any luxurys in life because by the time youve payed all your bills you'll have no money left.
  5. hmm bm 330d maybe but ive always liked merc's,my dad has a cl 600 that has a v12 with a dms remap giving 450bhp but the difference is he can well afford it with regard to dont let them win well there's only one winner and thats always going to be them unless we all stand up and say enough is enough but most people havent got the bottle to do it so it will be a downward spiral im afraid.
  6. well folks i think the road tax increase has just about done it for me,took me years to get round the missus to buy my dream car(my wrx)and now what happens, yes the road tax goes through the roof.its getting to the point where the running costs as much as i love my car are getting harder and harder to justify what with the cost of petrol and all.going to give it some serious thought before i do anything but to be honest my mind is almost made up,and will be going for a diesel i think.yes i know its just as expensive as petrol but at least you get alot more mpg and the road tax is at least for now cheaper.will break my heart to see her go shes been pampered and has also had a lot of cash spent in the short time i have had her but at the end of the day common sense has to prevale.watch this space but dont be surprised if shes up for sale very soon, have my eye on a mercedes e320 cdi adventgarde.we'll see.
  7. makes my blood boil how if the government wants extra money for anything its effective straight away but if the public is due any money back it takes at least twelve months the robbing c**ts.like ive said before the sooner there is a general election the better then we can get rid of this joke of a so called government.
  8. nope cant find it and theres four possible parts, been on the us hks site and according to them the part number for the 2005 car is 71004-af008 but im not sure.dont really want to go to the trouble and waiting three weeks then find out its the wrong one.dont want to pay the uk prices either, there is some one on ebay that has three but looking at his feedback and the fact that he's supposed to be in the uk but again with reference to his feedback i dont think thats the case so i think i'll give that a miss as well
  9. does anyone know which code relates to a 2005 model wrx, thinking of ordering one from nengun.
  10. if thats going to give a power increase ill eat my shorts

  13. hi mate fitted more or less exactly as the origionals, fitted mine in about 20 mins no probs.will have a proper look tommorrow and will let you know, maybe with some pictures if this helps you.
  14. i have a set of these on my car(blob eye) and they fitted with no problems at all.you need to make sure that the outlet on the horns are pointing towards the floor, and the piaa stickers are facing you.you should not have any probs, hopefully.
  15. its a pity you cant wire your car to the mains legaly of course and fry the f***ers.my car has plenty of wax on the paint so a bit of flesh shouldnt take to much getting off
  16. pure class, richard ought to have took him round again
  17. does anyone know how much these cost from subaru as im looking to fit a set on my car,or maybe some used ones but these would have to be mint.also do these come colour coded from new like the genuine fog lamp covers.any info would be helpful.
  18. once worked with a mechanic who had a bottle of tizer every couple of days, anyway someone else kept helping his self to this guy's tizer.one day my mate decided to teach this chap a lesson he wouldnt forget in a long time,he put red diesel in the bottle and waited.later the guy wanders in and starts to help his self to the bottle of tizer,we were hid out of the way.by the time he realized that it wasn't tizer in the bottle it was too late,he'd got a right old mouthful you should have seen the reaction,he was going mental and we were killing ourselves laughing.needless to say he never touched his tizer again.
  19. well folks had a bit of a rude awakening today, some time ago i purchased a hid kit from a well know supplier(not mentioning any names at the mo because trading standards have now been involved).anyway back to the story, because i was so impressed with the kit i stupidly recommended the kit to a family member who purchased a kit also.after having the kit installed by a proper auto electician all was well or so we thought, until some months later the car went for its mot and guess what,it failed on having an incorrect beam pattern.the tester recommended that i get in touch with the supplier which i promptly did.they said ok you need some different bulbs so another £65.00 for the bulbs(they wouldnt take the others back, long story)these were fitted so back to the mot centre and yet again these failed.the mot tester i have know for years and take his word if something is amiss.so again back on to the supplier who agrees that if the hid kit is returned and tested to make sure that its still working that they will refund the money.this kit was delivered back to them by royal mail special delivery on the 19th december 2007.not heard anything so decide to give them a call today to see whats happening, here we go.prat on the other end of the phone says, sorry sir you have 28 days to return any items for whatever reason after that we wont give you a penny, wrong answer.wtf i say now hang on a minute the kits been fitted with no apparent problems but when taken for an mot it's failed on the hid kit,to me this amounts to a product not fit for intended use.prat also then also tells me that these kits are not road legal, blood pressure now rising by the second,i point out that a/nowhare on there site does it say that these products are for offroad use only to which he points out that in one section it states the following/it is upto the person ordering the hid kit that they make sure the kit is right for their vehicle and to find out the legislation in their country.i pointed out that this is a very, very sneaky way of trying to get out of any liability and in my view they should clearly state that these kits are not for road use.still not willing to budge and him refusing to give any kind of refund i then say that i will seek legal advise to which he says go ahead but it wont get you anyware, this really infuriates me.between the two of us £750 has been spent with this company,i had a kit on another car before the subaru and to be treated like this does not go down well with me.end of conversation and on the phone to trading standards, give them all the story to which they have agreed that i have a srong case and have advised me to write a letter to the hid retailer giving them 14 days in which to respond if not then trading standards will get involved.if this fails then it will be the small claims court.these kits at £250 each are not cheap and they should not be allowed to sell these knowingly that they will be fitted on a car which is to be driven on the public highway.ive now decided to remove the kit and revert back to standard bulbs as i dont want to take the risk incase of an accident wether it be my fault or not(although i hope this never happens)but dont want to run the risk of someone saying ohh they shouldnt be on you car and voiding my insurance.anyway we'll see what happens, but im going to do my best to try and get this stopped.watch this space.sorry for the rant but i dont want to see anyone waste their hard earned cash being spent with morons like these companys.rant over.
