I have a mate that stays in Darvel too, he doesnt have an impreza, but he got his VW Bora which he got chipped and he uses a garage in Prestwick. Will find out the name, they mite be able to get you more info if any probs with ECU as they do alot of chipping of cars, and see if they can possible help you with the situation, as far as i know they deal with all types of cars not just V Dubs. Ha ha, but in there defence they suit a silver scooby better than any other colour But imo STI all the way

Insurance companies just seem to think of a number, double it then times in by 3 and theres your quote, ha ha Before the Scooby I had a 1.2 Corsa (with bodykit, etc) cost me £900 insurance. Got the Scooby and it costs me £769.

Nice enough looking Scooby you got there mate, the front lights look ok to me, but i take it you dont get the full effect until they are on at night. As said before I aint a fan of them Lexus Rear Lights mate, but its your car and everyone to there own. Cheers James

Cheers guys, machanic going to look at car tomorrow, so i will find out exactly what is wrong.

Hey there, Was getting ready to go to work the other morning, got into the car, and as soon as i tried to get it in reverse the gears were just grinding, tried all the gears and same thing happening. So turned engine off and it went into gears no bother, so turns out the the clutch is goosed, there had been no signs before hand of it slipping or anything. Anyway was just wondering if anyone had a rough idea of how much this would cost to get done, Im just going for a normal clutch again rather than uprated one. Spoke to local machanic who i think i will get the job done by, and he said that it is a very big job, and the engine would have to be removed to fit the new clutch, is this correct has anyone else had same problem?? Its a 98 UK Turbo

Since joining the site, I have heard a lot of people talking about getting their cars Remapped. Now this to most if not all of you will sound like a stupid question, but i was just wondering what was involved in a Remap and if you need anything in particular done to the car to get one, or can any car be remapped. Sorry again if this question is crazy but im not too clued up on this sort of thing, tried a search to find out more but no joy. Also heard alot of people on here talking about Andy F who done their Remaps, and sounds like a top bloke, just wondering where he is based. Cheers James

Checked the car and thankfully no dents on it, little scratch but it will T-Cut out. Think i may have to copy you and park car further away, lol
