I think i am going to have to head up to Glasgow and uninstall Internet Exporer as someone has a very important exam in 2 days time. GGGGGRRRRRRR The car will be there at the weekend once the pesky exams are done with. Then you will have some more letters after your name and a cracking car sitting outside. -
right whats the cheapest way to up my bhp ????

You could just fit a fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump and up the boost but this method will sap power as it hideously over fuels. This is the cheapo method of doing it but it very hit and miss type of tuning technique if you dont have the appropriate tools and monitoring equipment to do the job. People who do this are only after kudos for parts fitted , oooohhh its got a reg, pump and flamer kit so it must be over 300, when it hits the rollers a rather dissappointing figure is achieved AndyAdonis, your car comes with a TD05 16g turbo as std the UK 2000 comes with a TD04, i can fart more air than a TD04 can flow. Dinna ask me i know absoloutly hee haw about these things. Nos puts a strain on a std clutch due to the sudden impact loadings of the NOS activating. Installed wrongly it turns your combustion chamber into an oxy-acetelyne gas torch and melt those std pistons pretty quickly. Best advice BigDavie would be talk to someone who has got 300 before on a similer car and take it from there. AND DONT CUT CORNERS as it will come back to bite your bum later in a big way The chav way is to fit a flamer kit, graphics and a huge wing on the back and make it look as if it has 300hp....IMHO The proper way is to understand the fuelling needs, the cooling needs and its breathing needs. Spend the proper money and get the proper parts fitted and then take it too GOD for him to write a nice safe program for all the new bits to sing in harmony -

Fit all of the above in one go and then take the car to AndyF and 300 will be delivered Pump sits in tank ASPerformance will supply the pump and reg or Flat4online Ebay or Scoobynet for the cooler and turbo -

Source a TD05 16g, STI 8 Intercooler, Uprated pump 225 L/PH and a Fuel Pressure Regulator 300hp safely for about 700 quid or fit a dawes device and crank it right up 300hp for a split second and then BANG.........15 quid -
No problem here with the SARD regulator although you will need the fitting kit. Grant

When i am finished Imy will be leading the first group and flashing Gumball and co to pull over. I am thinkin Vicki Butler Henderson with attitude and a fondness for Dim Sum. On a side note my poor wee car has not turned a wheel since the pesky RA turned up. Mine has turbo, suspension, stroker kit, power fc and i would rather drive a std STI RA. Grant -
Helluva a lot of factors Tyre grip at point of launch. Clamping pressure of the clutch factored against the torque curve of the engine Final drive of the differentials Quality and condition of gearbox components. Surface quality If we are talking about your car in particuler then probably all the way in one swift go with a very rapid upshift to second and swiftly followed by another upshift into third Std car with std clutch and std gearbox internals then i would gradual release to minimise the strain on the first motion shaft and minmize wheelspin. The RA feels damn quick in std guise and due to its compliant suspension i am able to push it harder out of the corners. Mines has awesome throttle response but the RA does it so eliquently and really builds up a good head of steam. Need to find a quiet roundabout up at Braehead to try out the DCCD properly Grant -

Picked the car up yesterday from West Cardiff. Reset the odometer and filled her to the top. I managed 330kms on just over half a tank getting me from Cardiff to Charnock Richard Services on the M6, filled her back up to the top at 104.9p a litre and headed north. Arrived home at midnight last night after a pleasantly smooth journey. In total she used 53 litres to get from Cardiff to Paisley which is a distance of 630kms {about 390 miles}.........bloody stunning for any Subaru let alone a RA The car itself is 99.99999% std with the only mods being a Multispoke STIL Auto alloys with Toyo rubber, Racetech boost guage, Apexi midpipe, Apexi backbox and Blitz turbo timer. The only planned mod is a PowerFC to map her for UK fuel. Yes i am jealous as hell but i will have to content myself with being a named driver and my own daft as a brush Limited 555 but it is a grand feeling know i have access to such a Gucci car Not a lot of Subaru's have gods name stitched into the drivers seat Previous owner throw in the std headlights, gallon of oil, pre-mixed coolant, 4 new PFR6b plugs, new timing belt, couple of front 5Zigen springs. She has a folder full of receipts from the 2 previous mature UK owners, guy we bought the car from worked as an aircraft engineer for British Airways at Cardiff Airport, including 2grands worth from David Hendry for parts for an engine rebuild just over 1000 miles ago and every part she has ever needed. Included in this rebuild was a Roger Clark Motorsport modified oil pump so she is very unlikely to do the same again. When we viewed the car the gentleman, Neil, had all the replaced parts laid out on the work bench for inspection {Crank, Rings, Pistons, Main and Big End Bearings and old oil pump} The V-Limited of 1996 was created to celebrate Colin McRae's 1995 Championship winning year. Unique features of the car specific to this model year was the patriotic colour and the autographed seats with Colin McRae on the drivers seat and Derek Ringer on the passenger seat. Std features for the STI RA of this year included DCCD Closed Deck Block Short Ratio gearbox Rally style roof vent No rear wash wipe No electric mirrors No side skirts or rear corner spats Rear LSD Fifth fuel injector on the inlet maniflod This car does have electric windows and Air-Con, which is slightly unusual for a RA. Std it is 276bhp but i could fair believe she is putting out more than that. Hyper Rev, issue 4 has a std 1996 V-Limited with 15000kms on it putting out 304 on Japanese super unleaded As for the 1400miles to view cars and collect this one from Cardiff, it was an absoloute pleasure to hunt for such a fine organised, efficient person who desesves a special unique car. Just watch out as she has slightly more horses under the bonnet than the Justy So my total mileage for this week is 2800 inc my own works mileage and i am wondering why i am seeing tarmac in my dreams. Grant Expect some arty farty shots of the 2 cars sometime soon -

Simply approach two lane junctions on the left hand lane, obviously checking the left hand lane is not a filter. I know it looks tempting as there is only three cars in the right hand lane and about 3 dozen in the left hand lane but sure as milk is milk and spam is spam, the left hand lane will get throw quicker due to the dittery old codger sticking his right turn indicator on at the last minute. This now makes the right hand occupants now want to enter the left lane and on goes the indicators along with the pleading looks on thier faces. As for the Evo driver, must agree with Andy and i would feel the need to discuss the intricacies of the Highway Code. In fact i would have loved to see the Evo driver's face when the LHFOJ got out for a word. Funny how inlet manifold springs to mine......chortle My gripe of the moment is with the plonkers who insist that they can go right down to the end of the lane which is blocked off and expect to cut in to the flow of traffic at the last possible second. I deal with these numpties by straddling the van across the lane that is to be closed when there is about 800yds to go. This allows the traffic in front of me to get a pace up and get through the roadworks quicker. The plan failed one day when there was an unmarked Traffic car contained in the artificial queue and i dont think they were too impressed, bah bloody humbug. Grant

I like the way the registration mark ties in with the decals. Nice one Ed This thread is bound to annoy RR as someone is dissing decals and someone has created another rally look a like Grant
