If the Burberry squad can decipher longitude and latitude then best of luck to them as the car does not reside there any more. Cheers for your thoughts and concern

Might be the ECU diagram for the unit, Apexi usually ship a generic ECU guide with the products. Take a piccy of it to see if i recognise it The knock monitor function is extrememly useful but you would need to nick up the road to Andy to see if he can setup the unit to alter the AFR of your car. Send him an email to see if he can setup an S-AFC and when you do go for the PowerFC later down the line you can sell it on

Still a bit tooooooo steep for me. Good luck to the guy as it is for a damn good cause

Charity rolling road day for JohnSt, AndyF and AlanG, i will pay for all of thier runs and make the money back charging a fiver admission. Really find out out who has the Kahuna's in the classic dept

I had GEMS mapped by Sally Sampson on my old car and it was a bag of poo, was a tad better after the Dentist mapped it but in general i did not like the GEMS as a usable road ECU. I later had a PowerFC mapped by Andy and the car was a different car all together and an absoloute pleasure to live with day to day Had nearly all the mainstream ECU types in my last 3 cars and the best performing in all situations is the PowerFC mapped by Andy. At least it starts and runs when hot and indeed cold, not one or the other like the GEMS seemed to operate There are a dozen or so top end Subaru mappers in the UK, Bob Rawle, Pat Herbourn, Jolly Green Monster, Paul Blamire, Steve Simpson, Phil Marks, Sam Ellesar to name but a few but how many of these fine people reside in Scotland, developed thier own record breaking Impreza here in Scotland, done countless hours of testing/datalogging of various turbo/ecu/injector/induction/manifold combinations that the Impreza engine is capable of throwing up in order to give the best advise for any possible given situation and have ginger hair? I rest my case your honour

Thanks Andy...I touch goats BTW Ohhhhh what could that PM be about. Do tell DCI Lee or are we just to speculate amongst ourselves. I think he is asking Andy if a Justy ECU will more power Keep guess m8 but we have spoken about it before at my shop Oh i know my charismatic friend, [] -

The operator could not alter the ramp rate so the Heath Robinson method of using a higher gear was employed. -

Seems that Pete's car is mapped for full boost in the top 2 gears but his ECU is controlling the boost and a 3rd party unit like an AVC-R would give better boost control in the lower gears> The AVC-R could be set to vary the duty cycle according to gear and rpm Second question is way outwith the realms of my knowledge, maybe need to ask Gerry as to why they use 3rd and 4th when dynoing the cars. Possibly a safety issue spinning the rollers so fast, a fifth gear pull would run the roller s from approx 40mph round to 130mph plus (Not 100% sure on the given speeds per gear on a New Age) I remember they dynoed Callum's weapon in fifth but he has really short gearing, i mean really short HTH Boss -

The first run of the day produced a figure of 371bhp for Pete but again at only at 1.2bar, an increase of 11bhp over Dalgety Bay but i believe this extra bhp came from the better cooling of the whole of the intercooler and induction. The car was then rolling roaded in 5th and the target boost of 1.6bar was hit and the subsequent results came through on the vidiprinter Pete's management system will advance the ignition in relation to the temp of the charge entering the cylinders. -

On the Dastek day in Dalgety Bay, Pete's car only hit 1.2bar on the rollers and the car was mapped for 1.6-1.7bar. On Sunday the target boost level, 1.6bar, was achieved and the extra power was released -
get well soon boss

I know the very tunnel. Easy to watch both end for feds and the noise would be awesome

just read this again what a load of p!sh. Maybe not apply up in Aberdeen but around my neck of the woods the Buckfast/Burberry crew are now getting thier hands on £2k early imports and adopting the compulsory McRae driving attitude. Shame but it is true.
