Glasgow to Banbury burning 45 litres, 24 litres at London rd Shell to start her off with a full tank and another 22 litres at Charnock Richard on the M6. Filled back up in Banbury with tesco 99 and it then took 23 litres. My fag packet calculations work out at about 33 mpg, which is not too shabby for a 2 Litre turbo charged short geared rocket. Banbury to Glasgow 12 Litres of fuel consumed, this is a trick maybe one day i will reveal but at the moment it is between me and my conscience Granted it turn out to be a 27 hour day from driving it at circa 60 mph and the weather all the way down the M6 was dire of the highest order.
