Sick man Brian. I was in a hell of a state with that beast and if i had sat where i was, i have no doubt Scotland would have been revelling in my gastronome delicasies. As soon as i saw the camara phone appear i was off into a corner like a rat up a drainpipe. I am the Regional Organisor for Paisley North East and i have noticed Wilky is the Regional Organisor for Ballimory. Good on you Wilky, i admire your style. So Dougster you are the SIDC RO for Glasgow EXCLUDING Paisley North East and Ballimory, which are now subject to the United Nations Resoloution 19 Subsection c Paragraph 2. "................................areas where only one Subaru Impreza Turbo per 1 square mile exists, this area can apply to the United Nations Council for special Regional Organisation autonomy and there is b*gg*r all the existing organisation can do about it........................................................................" Kofi Anan So any sign of oppression from the OK corral then i will launch the latest generation of Germ and Nerve Agent warfare in the shape of me standing on the south bank of the Clyde and chuking mouldy old pieces at your house. I think Andy does the Apexi PowerFC fitted and mapped for £700 if you go to him. Higher if he has to travel to you. The £350 remap sounds like a reprogramme of your existing ECU. Grant

Boabster, where are you from? Grant

There is a group buy on Scoobynet on Lambdalink and Knocklink's. This will get you one brand new for the cheapest price. This is due to the bulk purchase aspect of it. Failing that type "Knocklink" into Google and it should list a few UK stockists. Price new is about £120 and second hand is about £70-£80 Grant

<< No you are not. I think the fumes from your side exit have made you delusional Grant. Keep taking the tablets m8!! >> I can be RO in Paisley North East if i want to be and there is hee haw you can do about it, considering its only one housing scheme with me as the only Scooby owner in said scheme. I dont think i will have much opposition in being elected in my constituancy. Grant

<< First bit of advice would be run it on OPTIMAX all the time. If you want more power and safety, octane booster will aslo help. That's the cost you have to face if you want to run a Scooby without melting piston 3!! >> Beg to differ on that one Main cause of No3 piston dying is the fuel system not up to task of supplying enough fuel to maintain a rich enough mixture at the top of the rev range. Not using OPTIMAX as a minimum will cause all your pistons to die, not just number 3 Z4 ECU was fitted to the 95 and 96 WRX saloons Best advise i can give a to a new Scooby owner Do NOT hold your car flat out on the motorway for any prolonged period of time. Import cars were not designed to exceed 112 mph. Over 100 mph and the top mount intercooler starts to lose efficiency and the intake charge starts to rise which in turn will melt your pistons. First purchase should be a devise called a Knocklink, a device which gives a visual indication of nasty noises occuring inside the engine, which will give you early warning that all is not well within the engine Grant
