I wonder if they pink alloys are still for sale Anyone remember who owned them? Grant

All the above topics have been discussed in the past. {Apart from the Top Gear one which is ace} A mock regional flyer was made up by Malky which would have done the trick but was not followed through with. I even offered to pay for 1000 colour flyers, 250 for each region, to be made up but not mentioned again Scoobay was looking into an event at Kames but, again, was not followed through with AFAIK Halleys has given us the 10% discount Phil Stephens got us some stickers made up with our user name but i dont know if these are still available A Scottish Big One, to rival the NBO, was talked abot very enthusiastically by a few members but, once again, not followed through or encouraged by the Top Brass. One thing that has been very successfull over the past 6 months has been the ScottishScoobies clothing range. This was an idea originnaly brought up by a forum member, Gayle, but if it was not for the commitment of another forum member, micra-wrc, then it would have stayed at the idea stage and would not have generated about £2000 in sales with a profit of about £200 going to Santa Cruise. It is what we want to do as a whole community and not just a regional section but to progress we must get past the "taliking about it" and move on to the actual "Getting off our bums and doing it" and the clothing range is an excellent example of someone taking the bull by the horns and running with it. if we just sit and talk about it then nothing will happen as we all have "more important things to do". This community of ours has grown quite well over the past while but it does need a clear sense of what we are wanting to do with the club, events wise, and how we aim to promote the club to new potential members. Just my humble 2ps worth Grant

<< Is the new wheel any good? I've got the GT3 one and thought it was over-rated, no real feedback or feel >> The new wheel is awesome I challenged Gumball to get round the Ring is less than 10 mins in a 400hp E Type. I made it interesting by stating i would give him £50 if he managed a sub 10 min lap without hitting the wall. He lasted 2 corners and promptly stuck it into the sceneryft> money safely back in pocket I nailed a 8 min 08 in the same car with some serious tank slapping moments the wrong side of 100. Favourite car of the moment is my DTM Merc Touring car which is nudging 800hp with RWD Grant

I think Jamies number is on most Aberdeen telephone boxes. Good rates for SIDC members with the exotic massage and the topless rub down. Everyone is under the impression that he is up there "Servicing the oil and gas industry" Grant

Bit of a mixed bag for me. Off on holiday for a fortnight Got the funds in place to purchase new car Sold the Red one provisionally to 5 different people Got 7 teeth out while awake and was supposed to be knocked out cold. Feel as if i have been hit in the mouth with a baseball bat. Grant

<< Je**s Ch**t, we have created a monster............... Grant + mystery car + new gearbox = madness mayhem chaos and a constantly ringing phone filled with techno babble, datalogging, power graphs, can I borrow...,flow rates, injector cycles, boost controllers, when you are you seeing a bar of boost?, cold air, oil temp, is that a knock? piston slap, tick tick is it a valve shim, etc etc etc.................as the radio Officer on the Enola Gay wrote after they had dropped the first atomic bomb, "My God! What have we done?" Good luck Big Yin, shes got the guts for it anyway! >> Just like my phone is with you ya manifold wielding nutter....... Grant

<< Ah but what a d/v and exhaust it is.....i reckon they're good for at least 600bhp >> and how much Horsepower does a flamer kit add. Grant

"No problem Tony" When one of respected forum members first brought this car up to Scotland i told him if he ever sold it that i wanted first shout It just came up a bit quicker than expected but i cannot wait Grant

If it pleases Jamie then i cant bloody wait To think all that fun is gonna be mine. But as my sig says i need to go back to basics or this thing is gonna kill me. My car should be available by the middle of next week if the Blue Bomber is good to go Grant

The larger the injector size you fit means the injectors are less stressed when nailing it t 1.5bar My car hits 92% Injector Duty at 1.45bar on 404cc injectors to achieve a healthy Air to Fuel ratio of 11.2 - 1. If i was to fit larger injectors then it would run less duty to achieve the same Air to Fuel Ratio. If it was to fit smaller injectors then it probably exceed 100% duty cycle and the AFR would Lean out due to the injectors not being able to supply the right quantity of fuel to maintain a healthy AFR. So in essence the larger the size of injector fitted, the more boost can be fuelled correctly for. The larger injectors will also give a better margin of safety when running high boost high revs. Grant
-
Boost and AFR for me too The std ECU reads off the Exhaust Gas Temp probe and adjusts the fuelling accordingly. Grant
-
Cheers Every little helps. Grant

Agree with Wilky as the Big End journals are already on the small side as std and any kind of skimming or regrind. The Big End journals are smaller on a Impreza then a Saxo.......... Grant
